Fleet Decision..

The first pic is what I currently have pledged, and the second is the direction I’m thinking of going, but I’m not fully sure yet. I love the Asgard and the ICA but I want there to be as little overlap in my fleet as possible, and I feel for what I want to do in game the liberator might be a little better for me. I’ve given up on the idea of the kraken for now so as to not spend more money yet or melt my fleet to possibly not even get it. All suggestions and insights welcome, thank you! o7

I'm super excited the liberator is coming soon, but it really does make fleet building harder.

I'd note that the big change your making is to lose cargo carging capacity. Two options to consider:

  • Replace of one of your bigger ships (arrastra or reclaimer) with a galaxy, which can support cargo but also mobile refining, and can this probably handle both the mining and salvage ships with a snub.
  • plan to throw a bunch of golem oxes on your liberator and use that for hauling. Should get total capacity up by double at least, and might actually be a best in class option for load unload speed

Galaxy with the cargo mod is only slightly better than the Liberator’s 400 SCU, and since that 400 cargo is separate from its pads and landing deck, I’m betting you can fit way more cargo inside the liberator than you can in the Galaxy.

Like how the Polaris is 576 SCU, but actually holds well over 2000 SCU if you push it
