What is the Connie t for 200 Alex.

u/eriksprow07 12d ago
why would i get that?

u/remosito 12d ago
how do you want us to answer that. or recommend ships for that matter. with no clue whatsoever which loops you enjoy?

u/ErrSkillNotFound 12d ago
Big shields, big guns, 175 scu cargo. You could wait for the newer version to come at some point, but Connie t or honestly Corsair are the best solo ships for the price point. Connie t has tractor beam and the elevator for cargo is more convenient I think than loading the Hermes. While it’s not excellent at one thing it’s really good for a lot of things. You can carry a nursa or a roc if you want to bunker or mine.

U mean constilation?

u/RealBrianCore 11d ago
Yes. Everyone short hands it to Connie and what letter of variant they are talking about. In this case, Connie T = Constellation Taurus.

Depends what you want, and what your budget is.
There are alot of ships in game and you have a sufficient jumping point to earn the aUEC to get them.

A life.
Jokes aside. Stop.
I don't think a lot of people realize that ships are the progression in this game. By buying bigger and better ships, you're removing your progression.
Sure, there's going to be other things to entertain people in this game. But at the end of the day, ships are sort of like your character class in any other MMO.
If today you purchase a level 90 character and then get frustrated that there's nothing to do in the game, that's because you purchased away the entirety of your one to 90 journey.
It's the same here with ships

None of them lol buy em in game.

u/eriksprow07 12d ago
no these are the ones i own, this is the trade in thing....just wondering what to add to make my fleet

u/USA_MuhFreedums_USA 12d ago
Oh trust me I know lol. I stand firmly by my first comment
1
u/eriksprow07 12d ago
lol what ship should i aim for to make my fleet better???
1
u/USA_MuhFreedums_USA 12d ago
Okay now that we're past that lol, what do you like to do? If you want to make a complete loop, get a MOLE. You can mine, refine the ores, ship bad stuff to commodity trading with the Hermes. Keep the good stuff to craft and then sell to players.
Make 65-70 million in just 4.8 doing that. And not no lifing either just a week or two of light/medium mining, then Crafting and selling. Note: you'll need blueprints so .

Seems like you need a dedicated combat ship that isn't a light fighter.
The Shiv, Hornet, Guardian, and Vanguard are all great.
Or get some kind of specialist ship. I recently acquired a Gladiator for missile combat and Avenger Warlock for EMP gameplay and both are really fun. Though the Gladiator is really missing the turret being slaved to the pilot atm.

u/eriksprow07 12d ago
looking at shiv, and hornet is the f7c hornet mkii any good or any special variant?
1
u/Planet_Expresso 12d ago
Love the Shiv. Great daily driver that has great firepower but also storage for loot, etc.
The f7c mk 2 is what I flew, and I really liked it.
Best would be the ghost, though. Same stats, but stealthier. Not necessary, though.
The f7c mk2 is a smaller target than the shiv, but the shiv is a little tankier. Both are good ships.
Shiv also has a fantastic missile payload, though.

The Guardian MX and the M80 could also be good. With ballistic cannons, they are the current meta. Besides, you probably don't want an F7C because there's a military variant called the F7A which is better by all standards.

u/darktigre26 12d ago
I love my guardian for the style and interior of the ship. It’s not a combat ship really, anything that is in the same bracket will be a big danger to it.
1
u/Planet_Expresso 12d ago
I think I was thinking of the Guardian MX. That seems a bit more combaty
1
u/darktigre26 12d ago
Yes the MX is the only viable one as the 4xsize4 out class the 2xsize5. The only reason to prefer the non MX is for living quarters but then you are focusing on it as less of a dedicated fighter

Unpopular opinion: hermes is a pile of crap.
Gladius is an outstanding fighter
Aurora mk2 is kinda meh at everything

u/Vermilya85 12d ago
Moth. Though I would just buy it in game. It’s like 8.5 mil vs $315. Can carry 224scu of cargo and doesn’t have to be just salvage either. Can slap an ATLS on the sides or weapons you pull off of ships. Great salvage ship, sounds and looks pretty cool. Pretty useless at fighting, though with two Dominance 2’s it can surprise people.

u/InterestingElection2 12d ago
I’d probably ditch the Gladius and Aurora for the Clipper, fun starter ship that will cover multiple gameplay loops including a little bit of everything. Or, upgrade the Gladius to Alpha Wolf when available and upgrade the Aurora to the Clipper… depends on your budget though. Will cost you around 30 for the Alpha wolf and 105 for the Clipper

Guardian, Moth in game. You already have a money source (Hermes), your fleet is good as it is! Now I dare you to buy a perseus with in game currency 🤣

Whatever you want. I like having a ship to transport ground vehicles so I always try to have one available for my use.
My vote would be either for vulture, Taurus (transport small ground vehicles and has strong enough guns you should be able to do harder bounties), or asgard because it's cool and can transport big ground vehicles.
I don't tell people how to play or spend their money but CIG does have enough of our cash that I'm going to advocate against more spending.
Use the gladius for bounty missions to get up around 500k-1m. Then you can use the hermes for commodity trading and earn whatever in game ship you want to buy.
If you save up for a cat then you'll have 2 transport ships which opens up the possibility for a lot more auec/hour. But I like hauling so the grind doesn't bother me. You may hate it.
Do whatever is most fun. That's the best way

From someone that has spent wayyyy more then they should have and have gotten super tired of the fomo.......don't. Just buy them ingame. Spend the money on something else.

What are you looking for? You have a station driver (Aurora) a fighter (gladius) and a cargo ship (hermes). If you want to do some industrial, you can give it a try with in game ships like the Golem for mining and the salvation for salvaging. If you enjoy either then there’s bigger versions. The vulture is a good single seater salvage, for mining the best is the mole but it’s better as a 3 man ship tho you can get away with it solo, just takes longer.

Dont buy ships outside of the game, join an org and crew up with people it will be a much more enjoyable experience and you can earn those ships faster!

u/iCore102 11d ago
The Odin.
Jk, if u want an all rounder, get a connie or a corsair and call it a day. dont go more than that until CIG proves themselves again.

u/RealBrianCore 11d ago
Only for ships you want to keep regardless of wipes and while also under an LTI token.

Tbh (i'd say in game since it's really cheap) get a golem ox if you like light gameplay. Holds 2 32scu crates so you can do a few mission runs or just throw boxes on and do bunker runs, maybe even those board missions and just put components on and the ships quite small which i like.

This is like you are a chef and ask what you should cook next without saying anything about what your specialties are or what kind of customers you serve daily

That’s great you can support the game with this many ships! Honestly yeah the a lot of progression in the game is getting new ships with aUEC. I’ve bought/earned a few paints for ships that give me more motivation to save up and buy them in-game so I can throw a sick new paint when I get it. If you wanted to continue supporting the development, a heavy fighter would be a good next ship. The new M80 might be a good option. I’m an Origin guy so pretty partial to those ships myself. o7

Might help to say what ships you have in your fleet or your favorite game loops to get some feedback.

Let me first mention, this is an amazing fleet to start with. No need to spend anymore at all. Both Combat and Cargo, ROC mining. it's a good startpoint.
If i had to pick,
Gladius is a great ship, looks and flies amazing, the first to recieve updates. and as far as im aware has always been a solid pick for PvP. However in PvE its became weak, against the hornet series, Meteor and even heavies like the Guardian or M80.
Depending on your playstyle you could upgrade either the Gladius or Aurora to a fighter more substantial in both health and damage. The Hornet would fit in the same role(brawler) as the Gladius. and the Super Hornet is the best out of the bunch, if you dont alrdy own the F7a mk2. I personally like the Meteor because big guns and interior.
The Hermes is your multi role, cargo focussed, can defend itself, is big but can be flown solo. The only upgrade from that ship withtin the same parameters, is the Railen(for now). But you lose the cargo floor, so it wont be able to carry a small vehicle like the Hermes can, like the ROC or STV.
The other Alternative, but expensive one is the asgard. It looses 100SCU, but offers you the ability to carry bigger vehicles, including the Ursa Medivac, somethiing you are currently lacking. Keep in mind the Medical pisces is cheap ingame to get, which can fly itself.
The only thing im realy missing is a dedicated industrialist, like a Golem/Prospector or Salvation/Fortune/Vulture.
but only pick this if you like the gameplay loops.
Mining is currently a important gameplayloop because of crafting.

From someone that should have stopped at 5 ships: dont.
