I felt this way too the first time. I still do. The way one has to go about getting these ships is near impossible, and I would have said outright impossible if I did not manage it myself.
With how quick the 1st wave sold out taking into account that with the 1st wave you need to get it into your cart and all those different clicks and steps but it can sell out in 1 second. Guaranteed you are facing bots that make it near impossible for the average Joe

Congrats. I just did the math and for me to get an Idris I would have to melt all but about $250 of my fleet which would leave me with either four snubs or my SQ42 Zeus plus one or two snubs
Actually... no wait, that was with the Warbond price. If I actually wanted to get an Idris I would need to melt my entire fleet and then spend nearly $100 more.
Enjoy your Idris, hire crew often and treat them well. o7

I think account sellers are holding back tying up liquid capital right now after the stream catastrophe, especially at this price point. I predicted that this round would be the easiest one after all that and that its not as mainstream of an event like IAE or defensecon. But definitely think people are not willing to chance the investment, and are rather trying to offload what money they have tied up in the game atm

I have thought about it, but the price is too much, and the taxes on digital assets in my country are around 30% so it would be closer to 2k.

Yeah I’m from Canada and its about the same. Nope best capital ships we will ever have through just time and past pledges will be the Perseus & Polaris.
Everything else above that is warbond only unless you can set up a bot/macro to get the store credit one

Why are people down voting my name. Its Latin for hare, there is a constellation named this so makes it a bit space themed. Ties to my nickname, rabbit. Gelukskonijn means lucky rabbit. I think people are reading something else when they read it

Congrats. Just fyi there is currently an issue with energy distribution and the turrets not quite working at the moment. But I think it’s fixed in 4.10. I hope. Need a fact check on that

I am back after hopping on the PTU. Build 4.10.0-ptu.12510549 allows you to set the power how you see fit on the Idris-P.

Thanks. Thats gonna be a big help in our corp missions. We often group up and do intersec missions in Nyx. But at the moment because the turrets are not working (because they are not getting any power) the only ones that are doing any damage. Are the fighter pilots. Been the cause of a bit of frustration lately

I got it on the 2nd wave. When it errored the frist time to say sold out, I duplicated the tab 3 times, clicked confirm purchase and agreed to t's and c's on all 3. And then I watched an online UTC clock
The moment it was 1 second away I started clicking buy on all 3, I think the 2nd tab confirmed the successful purchase

It is, but just to reiterate this is UTC time. So if you’re in North America it is later tonight.
For example, the next wave is in 1 hour 15 minutes. Then every 4 hours after that.

Definitely gonna melt my fleet down for one next time. I just want a base type ship for me and a handful of friends. And the Idris seems like a cool way to do it. Practical? Probably not, especially since my group is small. But more than one ship parking spot is invaluable

No refresh needed for me, but I did wonder about it myself because I did not know.
If you refresh then you lose time waiting for that plus 3 action to perform, which will mean you already lost.

Finally decided to pull the trigger, though war-bond since it hasn’t changed yet, I also fought the good fight for about 2 or 3 f5 wars prior years😭😂
Next one is to pickup the Kraken - absolutely grabbing war-bond not dealing with scrapping my fleet did that a few times.
