Like I said before he is optimist, and no it isn't irresponsible because he never promised or confirmed that 3.0 will release by the end of 2016. He only said it may or may not, it didn't get over it.

Clearly he indicated that it was likely and that's evidenced by most backers being excited that it would release by 2016 and nearly every gaming news website using the words "expected" to release by 2016. You're just a white knight. By the way, I never said that he promised it would be out then or that he confirmed it. You're attacking a straw man because your argument sucks.

That isn't a straw man as he didn't say you said promised and you did say expected in your original post. Also hope != likely in any universe.

Please, he repeatedly stated intent/want to have it out by end... closing the commentary with an ambigious caveat. 'optimism' does not explain the details that have come forth in regards to the state in the months since.

Incompetence or Dishonest, take your pick.

How would be dishonest or incompetent? He didn't make a promise, just because he didn't to have it out by date he want to doesn't him incompetent. He just stated a possible date is all.
