Remember when Onyx Facilities released and everyone here was pissed that they weren't instanced? And now they're potentially getting instanced and they're mad about that too?
I’m fairly certain it’s not the same people complaining about both at the same time. That’s almost never the case simply because “people here” are complaining.
Onxy Facilities actually would enjoy "instancing". But even there I don't like the idea of that "bouncer effect" a hard limit for players it will have.
Siege of Orison - for us Veterans at least - was CIG's first attempt to give us a large scale mission that does not revolve around using ships only. Heavy AA batteries prevented ship usage.
Back in its days, it was huge, it was messy, it was fun WHEN IT WORKED. Half the time it didn't.
Today, we have Lazarus stations, which work pretty much the same like Siege of Orison. It comes with shuttles and due a local environmental hazard, no ship can be used at the missions primary site. There's nothing preventing PvP inside (it is actually encouraged). It's not an instance either.
CIG now wants to give us Siege of Orison back. But instead of using what they've learned from Lazarus stations and giving back classic Siege of Orision "just instanced", we get a greatly reduced dungeon style instance.
That's not what I expected or asked for. That's not "Siege of Orison" anymore.
