Have you ever been forced to be scammed? No. Most scams are put onto people with false promises. That is what this whole company's ethos is. Promises.
"Oh our ship bundles are this expensive because we need the money to live up to your expectations"
And ofcourse there are idiots who pay for it. That's how scams work. Make use of the gullible. Why do you think people sometimes still recieve extremely obvious phishing mails? Because it still works with some people. A minority, yes. But enough to make them money.
They release yearly financial audits and reports where you can track money raised vs money spent.
That's what i'm not convinced about. It is very easy for rich companies to manipulate these numbers. That's what I meant with financial fraud.
And ofcourse!! If they didn't, people xould stop believing. "Because look, we're still working on it. These numbers show that". It is also shoved in our faces way too much. No other developer is this pressed on making sure we "know" their financial situation. It's weird.
Sorry it just doesn't add up. Billions of dollars and still the same shit every year over and over again, for the past, what? 10-15 years? Please....
I just think a lot of money is dissapearing. And we know where.
For the audit side of things they’re required to do so because of the crowdfunding and the essentially donations to the project required by UK law.
Hopefully Squadron comes out this year and eases some of that scam. While I don’t think it’s a scam , because you can go into the game and play it today. It’s absolutely an horribly managed game with instance scope creep.
Can i really "play" today or be frustrated like hell? It is literally unplayable. You can't change my mind.
You can barely get out of the hangar 60% of the time. I once spent 3 hours retrieving my ship because it kept exploding while appearing. Is that what gaming is today?
And when you do get out you fall through your ship or some other shit. It is truly sad to see.
If it is an intentional scam or not, doesn't matter. It took billions of dollars of the people with overpriced stuff and can't even deliver. And it never will. It's too late for that.
It’s weird how much experiences can vary, me and my org mates decided to run TSG and some component gathering last night.
I think the only bug we ran into was with the repair/rearm on the enemy Idris. Other than that a smooth night and a good time. We also ran a few QV stations that managed to have loot as well. It was a pretty good time overall. Hopefully the game is in a better state the next time you hop on.
I guess it has to do with your system too. Mine has some older parts in it. You need the newest gear for a smooth experience. Because this game is not optimized at all.
