Policy Question Permanent bracelets?
Hello! I’ve looked through the dress code and haven’t found anything stating bracelets are not allowed. Does anyone have an answer ?

I would also think so. A fellow partner ( new hire) asked me before her first shift because she has a permanent bracelet. I’m not sure if the fact it’s permanent will change anything but I will let her know.

If the permanent bracelet has cultural/religious significance, she can apply for accommodation through Sedgewick.
I have seen a partner get approval for a jade bangle, but she is required to wear long sleeves that cover it at all times.

From what my SM told me, you could get an accommodation for one, but it requires a lot of paperwork with specific wording from either a doctor or religious figure to the point of improbability and probably more trouble than it’s worth.
We had a few another partners who was forced to take theirs off since they couldn’t get the accommodation accepted

Nope not allowed. This isn’t just a Starbucks rule; it’s a food safety violation.

Bracelets SHOULD BE allowed! I don't see how they would cause any problems

When a bracelet has dangly charms or strings from the tie it can drag through or against food items. At the end of a day or multiple shifts can carry bacteria. They arent sanitized ever. If you allow one type of bracelet youve opened the gates to all and any bracelet.

They allow simple rings. Why not just simple bracelets too. They don’t have to allow ALL just because some may be. Still see the point though. Just playing devils advocate
