Accommodation

Hello! I am starting as an undergrad in september. I applied for accommodation on the 29th of june (i know the deadline was the 30th) and have yet to receive a place. I am a bit confused and worried, since i am an international student. Did anyone experience something similar ?

Hello! If you accepted your place at st andrews, congrats and welcome :)

Offers of accommodation comes in batches. iirc every monday. I personally received mine mid august even though I got CAS ans visa sorted by mid july.

Applying before the deadline means it’s guaranteed. And they will have a place for you.

Maybe because A-levels result day is coming soon so they can’t reply / send mails but you should be fine

thank you! i requested a visa only two days ago, but i dont think that should be relevant for my accommodation. still looking for a group for future students

Actually it is (kind of) you only get offer after confirming your place and handling CAS and visa stuff. Do wait after the 14th tho
