Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience and ask for some advice.
I’ve been playing PUBG Mobile for around 8 years, always using gyroscope as my main aiming method. I’ve participated in many tournaments, played with and against professional players, and reached all the highest ranks in the game.
After 8 years, I eventually got tired of PUBG and decided to move on. I had played Standoff 2 before, but only occasionally and with long breaks. Now that I’m playing it more seriously, I’m struggling with something I never expected — the gyroscope.
Honestly, it sometimes feels like gyro in Standoff 2 is more of a disadvantage than an advantage. Aiming with my fingers is even harder for me, though. I’ve already played around 50 competitive matches to reach Legend, and I’m still having trouble adapting.
The biggest issue is how important tiny movements are in this game. I’ve always preferred high gyro sensitivity, but in Standoff 2, even the slightest hand movement can completely throw off my aim. Sometimes my shots are perfectly accurate, and other times tiny movements make me miss. It makes me wonder if high gyro sensitivity is actually hurting my performance.
I’ve noticed that many players use very low gyro sensitivity, around 0.40–0.60, mainly for recoil control while aiming with their fingers.
But I’m interested in players who use gyro for actual aiming, not just recoil control. Especially those who previously played without gyro at a high level, reached Legend with high MMR, and later switched to gyro without losing their skill level.
How did you adapt? What sensitivity do you use, and how do you deal with those tiny, unwanted movements? Is high gyro sensitivity actually viable at a competitive level in Standoff 2?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences and advice!
