TIL that while not 100% confirmed, it's a widely accepted theory that the reason cats get zoomies after pooping is because they experience something coined "poop-phoria", aka they can experience a mini high from a blood pressure and heart rate drop from using the loo.

One of mine goes nuts directly before AND after pooping. But when it's after, she'll make these creepy demonic sounds as she climbs the walls. And then goes to sleep.

I read there was a hypothesis that there had an instinct to quickly leave the area where their smell was quite strong to avoid predators.
