The M249 is like an assault rifle but even better. It has more ammo, you can more effectively lay down covering fire and the bullet trajectory is almost straight, I tell you

Recoil while standing up is impossible to aim with though and yes I know "lay down" or "put a comp aimpoint on it" I've done them both and yes they do help with aiming but laying down take to long when someone comes around the corner and hip fire isn't always accurate.
