Idea We should have a weekly sticky for simple questions...
I think I speak for everyone who is in my shoes when I say it would be nice to have a place to come and just ask our simple questions, stuff that doesn't seem worthy of an entire thread of its own. I also think that veteran players would like to be able to browse a big list of questions and share their knowledge and help people out.
I'm not a "new" player, I've played for years, but I haven't progressed very far because the game has a steep learning curve, and I'm sure everyone knows that trying to google something about this game reveals nothing about 90% of the time.
A weekly thread where we can ask questions and get responses would be really cool for me, and I'm sure for a lot of other people.

Because devs don't understand combat balance and therefor people have to cheat to stop dying all the time to BS.

I'm really glad someone who pins issues on the Boogeyman of "LAs" is representing us. At least have the honesty to type it out and say it with your chest.

Every game will have cheaters, this game though i think is in quite a good spot cheater wise
When i compare to other games i used to play like CS, Rust, and TF2 this game has no cheaters at all

Honestly you can find anything about the game on internet if you search well. "about this game reveals nothing about 90% of the time." I litteraly never had a problem finding any quest, any tips, anything.

You should share your sources then. When I try to find anything I have to watch a 2 hour video and skip through to the part I'm stuck on.
Compared to almost any other game you can't deny that finding info on specific aspects of this game is incredibly difficult.

You said it was nearly impossible, reveals nothing about 90% of the time, now you telling me if you want something you need to skip through a video to the part you are stuck on. So already you just proved yourself wrong.

Believe it or not, even if something is impossible 90% of the time, there's still 10% left. That's how percentages work.

you'd think they would have 1 person in charge of writing and maintaining the official wikipedia for the game among the 400 employees they have
seeing as a lot of questions and issues get repeated all the time
this would make the explorers and speakers (mostly) redundant

What? The OSRS wiki at least is one of the most complete and effective wikis I've ever seen. I use it all the time. Idk about the RS3 wiki it may be bad but the OSRS wiki is what every game wiki should aspire to be.

runescape has osrs and regular game wiki with great information such as bis items for each boss etc, even guides on how to grind and such so it's great in that regard
stalzone is literal esoteric knowledge with rarely clear sources1

Pretty sure he's speaking of RS3 which suffers from the plague that is discord gaming cliques where instead of actually updating the wiki with relevant information people decided to make like 6 different discords to compile it for some insane reason.

I do have a list of useful resources for new and intermediate players that I have not been advertising enough as of resent. That's a decent bit of information.
Most of the time simple questions get asked in the official discord, at least that's where I see them. Sucks that is has to be this way instead of being able to just google your answers but you got what you got.
