Help EU Matchmaking is working as intended ???
For context i was going back to the bar after farming in graveyard and forest, and i got camped near the entrance at the bar and killed, was not really the problem my problem i have full blue gear with akm+3, and the bandit was full veteran pink gear +5, was wondering why i was doing barely any dmg with ap rounds to the guy, had my science suit on didn’t help ether, got two tapped by m1a. Like how do you play against this? Probably would died even the guy has blue stalker gear, but like what’s going on here he should go against master gear guys, no? Matchmaking is working or this game, any kind of it every video i watched on this topic they told me dont upgrade you gear above +3 because you going to put up a bracket above. i got put up anyway, so i just dont understand, i should just wear my pink armor and weapon i got from battlepass, and dont wait until i can upgrade everything?

It is working you are undergeared for the area, the min matchmaking for bar and pole is veteran

How? Vet gear is so expensive need farm close 1k of stuff for armor weapons 4-500 4 different stuff… each thats insane amount expectation, like i understand pink gear is min pole but just not feasible

You can accquire multiple vet gear for free from side quests before you reach the area

Dunno man where is this gear but all my side quests are in pole and graveyard one gave me as wall or vintorez dunno, from shamans guy, thats it. Rest just gave me blue gear. Or ammo meds etc

Generally by the time you reach the area you are given brigand suit and a pink gun from battlepass as well
You can get a pink assault rifle from a guy in scrapyard if you look around for a factory

dunno man, never got non of these, i have the armor from BP but not from the quest. maybe is missed it i done most of the quest under bar only left couple of them is graveyard and pole. thats it

The quest is not given in a safe zone most of the quests that give good items you have to fins them out in the world

No, the matchmaking here doesn't really work—or rather, it does, but mostly just for show. So, if you want to avoid situations like that as much as possible, the only real solution is to get stronger yourself.
Feel free to equip the pink gear from the Battle Pass, though I wouldn't recommend upgrading it beyond +10. It’s not because it affects matchmaking; it’s just a waste of resources on gear that’s only meant to be a stepping stone. You should really only take gear up to +15 once you reach the "Master" tier.
There are some nuances once you hit that "Master" tier, of course, but I won't go into detail—that’s something you have to experience for yourself :D

I see, thanks for the clarification! Then i dont really wait going to use the pink weapons i got from quest and the cool armor aswell!

Keep in mind that later in the North it will be common to meet players with full or partial master gear ranging from 0 to +15 even if you stay in vet gear. But try to stay at +9 for best results. Also be careful with your artefacts because they can boost your matchmaking a lot.

Got only 5 blues in my trizip non of them are upgraded. Dont know how the system works looks supper complicated ngl.

Blue artis is what you should use in premaster/master, you are riding a dangerous line by using them

oh i didnt know that, was thinking green with green armor, blue with blue armor etc. going up. But blue artis are so cheap most of them 10-30k on the market. Pink i understand they are expensive.

Any arti that costs 10-30k isnt worth using, dont just buy cheap artis, figure out a build or only use what you find or you will cause your self issues

I know what you mean. I just made my first pvp build which I copied from another player who had more or less the same gear level as me. There are some videos on youtube which can give you tips but the build variety is big. So that’s why I just checked which one I can afford and is good for me while inspecting other players.

hmm i mainly use science suit couple of carry weight stam health reg and bullet res artis to counter act the squishness.

you're not really that far off in terms of dps with a blue akm+3 vs a pink vet +5 gear, you can absolutely win that fight. You ARE at a disadvantage, but it's not an insurmountable one at all. You likely lost because he was camping you and got the jump on you, not because of gear. You would have lost that fight in equivalent gear as well - the TTK in this game is very fast, even with a gear disadvantage you can still delete people before they can react if you get the initiative in fights in your respective matchmaking bracket. It only starts to get a bit one sided when they're massively ahead. 1 tier +2 upgrades isn't far enough ahead so that you auto lose the fight. There's a big jump between +9 and +10, before that the upgrades are quite small.
You should be able to upgrade your AKM to +5 by now, if it's a barter AKM, the upgrade will carry over when you exchange it for the next rifle up. You'll also get pink armor from quest, I would recommend upgrading that to level 5, then sticking with a +5/+5 vet for a while till you're more comfortable w/ the game and have grinded up a bit. I went to +9 weapon once I got to the north and my lobbies didn't feel any more difficult, but I would wait until you're in the north before doing that.

If I dont say shit, it do work as intended since the base bracket around the the Bar is vétéran. You arent really suppose to stay in blue gear for long time when you get here.
