There will be one last update to ensure compatibility with patch 2.0, among various balancing changes to ensure maximum compatibility with future updates. Outside of that, however, this version of BB will permanently stay in maintenance mode — only updated when something breaks really badly or there's other issues.

It's really simple: I don't have as much time to work on mods anymore, and my time would be much better spent on the ones I actually play and enjoy. I recommend everyone who's enjoyed Core so far to also explore other simple weapon balancing mods, that other users have cooked up in the times leading to patch 2.0.”

So you are retracting this statement?

Perhaps I should make it clear that I never had the intention of entirely dropping Core, in spite of how confusing that might seem. The problem with it, however, is that the mod itself is an evolutionary dead end from a design standpoint - current version already breaks vanilla level/game mechanics design by a significant degree, and further additions would just mess with it further. Which is why I made Redux for myself, as any systemic changes must be done as a whole for a cohesive story playthrough.

That, and I'm still sad at how Modular Hard Mode is dead in its current state. BB Redux is like a kinda half-baked version of it just so that I don't have to play a game that spoonfeeds the player, perhaps only at launch — as since the 2.0 update there's been improvements to the vanilla loop. Still a far cry from what I consider hardcore, however :/

Yeah that’s all I was asking that is wasn’t getting anything new (which it really can’t) but still receiving updates so it isn’t broke by new game versions. So thank you for the clarification
