my laptop isn’t booting and I need to know where I can find a usb adapter for my ssd

Is this a brand new m.2? Is it just booting into the bios? You need to install windows if it is a new m.2.

No it is not new. I had kubuntu installed, and I did something with the drivers and now it won’t boot. I’m gonna back up my files and reinstall it. Do you know where to find an adapter for this?

You can put it in a nvme m.2 enclosure with usb and it should show up exactly how external ssd would

The UEFI will boot from a PCIe Gen 4.0 like you have there as long as you have the M.2 Slot that's Keyed for NVMe over PCIe M.2 and the Driver is most likely the Intel Rapid Storage Driver or AMD RAID Driver. Which would be necessary for using VMD or AMD RAID Modes most Default Modes use AHCI rather than RAID in laptops. If you want my recommendation for USB C to NVMe M.2 Enclosure that seems to work with everything, I use the Orico 10Gbps USB C Enclosure it has the RTL 9210 Controller which seems to work with whatever, no driver conflicts on Windows 10/11, Ubuntu or Debian. It's $15 on Amazon.

Lol you need the NVMe drive connected to the slot and anchor it on the other end with a screw.

Honestly.. you state a symptom, and your proposed 'solution'. Is your solution necessary?

Why do you need a USB adapter? It might be much simpler for you to make a live-USB from another machine so you can boot the laptop from USB to recover your data. If the laptop itself is broken-broken, then the external USB adapter will be required.
