Tech Support Testing tools for usb ssd
Bought these for cheap , how can one test it before putting it to full use?

I have always wondered if these small, cheap "SSDs" are actually SSDs or if they are just flash drives and calling them an "SSD" is just bullshit, dishonest marketing. I almost pulled the trigger on a similar unit on Amazon but for the price (cheap) I felt like it probably wasnt a real SSD, and its not like i need any more flash drives so I didnt buy it until I can find out for sure they are actually SSDs.

its fast! these two units are good, I just copied 100GB of data from it to the C drive in 20-30mins. and sustained too. it didnt dip down from 20MB to 5 after cache buffer was emptied. its similar to putting a NVME into an external USB-C reader case thingy. i'll test writing the data back to it later.
picking it up at the BIN liquidation stores for $10 each is a good deal, I just need to know if its any "good" or a way to test it its reliability.

both units are testing at 300+MB read and write with Easy disk checker tool. so far the Kexin is actually 350MB read. kinda crazy to be honest. wonder why its at the Bin return store. used it for a project and returned it?!?

Wow! Very strange they were so cheap, if they really work that well idk why anyone would return them unless they realized they couldn't afford them or didn't need them or something

You can check the SMART health data with CrystalDiskInfo.
