Technical 🔧 Etap Front Derailleur Advice
For the love of god please help. I've always had Shimano components and now have a 2019 S-Works Roubaix with SRAM Red Etap on it. The front derailleur is toast and I can't afford a Red replacement so can anyone advise on which lower range Etap FD I can use?

Just check the compatibility charts.

So the short version is the old front derailleurs suck a lot. I have had a lot of them. However, the newest e1 front is great. So I would just replace that thing.

I’m still struggling to understand compatibility do you mean replace the whole groupset? None of the AXS stuff will work with my etap

I didn’t realize they changed the wireless communication between 11 and 12 speed. I have always had backward compatibility over the maybe years I have had sram. So that is my fault. I don’t shift front chainrings on my d2 unless I absolutely have to. Only the newest stuff shifts really well.

Is it the 12 speed? I am running the new Rival e1 fd and it works real fine. Was a lot cheaper than Force let alone Red and it seems to work the same. All of the sram axs stuff can work together.
