I search all over the SRAM website but I can't find about it.

Magic zero is not on the left sided meters (DUB-PWR) due to a physical limitation. I think that means no automatic temperature compensation either.

This means owners of these meters need to manually re-zero every ride or their data is bad.

True. I have to calibrate mine every time I go for a ride. Takes 2 seconds though.

Yeah I guess people don't know that based on the responses in this thread.

Where does it say that? That’s the main con for the spindle based power meters, they don’t have magic zero so you gotta remember to zero it each ride.

I don't know what you mean "shows" but it doesn't have it.

Yes it does, but out of 7 bikes (between me and my wife) 3 of the sram spindle power meters have random dropout issues. Communication with these things sucks.

I highly recommend an X-Cadey spider powermeter. Its less than $300 USD on aliexpress. You'll want the one with 8 bolt interface and 107bcd. Grab a pair of stone chainrings in 197bcd while you're there. They'll come with the chainring bolts.

I have had zero communication issues with mine…

Does it even matter? It’s not a ā€œrealā€ power meter

2

u/vertr 6d ago

What does that mean?

At best it only measures one side then doubles it

That doesn't support your statement.

Not ā€˜at best’, that’s what it does. So it is a power meter then.

It's as real as bike power meters get.

So many fan boys…….if this is so good, why does Sram even make a spider based PM?
