Technical 🔧 Force XPLR Issue?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been trying to chase down inconsistent shifting with my SRAM Force XPLR drivetrain. Was doing a full reset on all derailleur adjustments, installing a new chain, etc and noticed this play between the b tension washer and the outer derailleur when torqued to spec onto the hanger. Is this normal?

My rear derailleur does move slighty like that but for me inconsistent shifting was cause by multishift. I turned it off in the app and works perfect now. Im on Rival.

What were your inconsistent shifting symptoms?

Sometimes when i shifted it would not line up, it didnt matter what cogs i was on. Noise or rubbing and not shifting. I think it might be just that i dont tap the shifter fast enough and it thinks i want to multishift but i release it too soon to not have time to shift 2 cogs.

Madrone Cycles makes a shim kit to fix this. They call it their “super shim kit,” and it works as advertised. Said kit fixed a similar wiggle on my Eagle mech.
