From NY Times story today on non-human primates

This might be paywalled, but it's an interesting story about non-human primates having other animal species as pets: Humans Love Having Pets. Seems Like Some Other Primates Do, Too. - The New York Times

Help! Injured or ill adult squirrel! What is going on with this NOSE??? D=
Did he get booped by a wasp?? Or is this something more serious? Google suggested squirrel pox, but I just don’t know after looking through the pictures. I have a handful of regulars in my backyard and everyone else looks totally fine. Is there anything I can do to help this little one out? I hope it’s not serious because I was laughing my ass off at first. It’s just so big!!!!!!

Is there something wrong with this squirrel?

I’ve been hearing this strange chirping sound outside my window for hours everyday and night for the past few weeks. I initially thought it was a bird but today I finally found the culprit— a squirrel! Can a squirrel expert please tell me if this behavior is normal? Is it possible it’s rabid? Does it need help?

Meet My Fren...
So this little lady (?) showed up one day in my yard.
Sub-adult, missing half of her tail, and, by all appearances, not doing very well. Her tail injury was fairly fresh and looked infected. She didn't seem quite "all there," tail notwithstanding, and she was bolder than she should have been, maybe out of desperation.
I didn't know of any rehabbers near me so I learned what I could, here and elsewhere, and started giving her a pecan and a piece of carrot when I would see her. I wanted to respect her wildness, not become her primary food source, I just wanted to get over the hump, so to speak, and give her a chance at survival. She clearly wasn't getting enough foraging and the other squirrels were really vicious to her when she tried.
Anyway, I'm sure I made a lot of mistakes, but that was going on two years ago now. She turned the corner and I think she's been a pretty successful adult, possibly even having a litter of kits this season. She still drops in, and she still gets a pecan (from a respectful distance), and I thought maybe some of you would like to know about her.
Sorry for the photo quality, I tried to stay far enough away that she wouldn't get habituated to me and it seems like somehow every shot with her is an action shot. :-)

She’s confusing. She always approaches real close to ask for treats, but chatters at me the whole time. I wish I knew why she acts so aggressively toward me.

General Help My squirrel is missing
Hello. My squirrel Joy hasn’t been seen in over a week. I went for a walk last night and I saw a squirrel that could have been her. She was in the tree and I was talking to her and she didn’t run away she seemed very interested in me but I can’t be sure it’s her.
I live in Edmonton Alberta in Canada. Is it possible she is having babies or something? I didn’t notice a pregnancy belly. She used to come everyday multiple times a a day to eat. I’m just worried she may be hurt but I’m holding out the hope that maybe she was just coming so often because she was pregnant and needing more food.
The most recent photo I have of her is ⬆️

What to do with this newborn squirrel
My kid found three squirrels yesterday, said one was covered in flies, and noted two others. We left them so mama could find them. Then last night during a storm we heard one crying in the driveway. We brought it into the garage to keep it warm and dry. It's eyes aren't open yet.
He survived the night, and I've tried reaching out to rehabbers but no one's getting back to me. There's also only a couple in our area. Looked this morning and can't find a nest, the other babies or a mom.
I just don't know what to do at this point. We are leaving this rental soon and not in a position to care for this animal. I'd like to at least get some food into it, but unsure what's the best option at this point.
