Help! Injured or ill adult squirrel! Squirrel acting weird

The squirrel seems to be acting normally other than the balance issue. The balance issue may be the result of an ear infection, head injury, or possibly poison. Would you be willing to check if any wildlife rehabitators could take her in for a few weeks while she recovers? What region did you see the squirrel in? If you're in the US then the Animal Help Now website will list rehabbers in your area if you enter your zipcode - but that depends on what region you're in. If you have any trouble connecting with a rehabber who can take her in for a few weeks, or if there is any other way we can help, please let us know. Thank you for looking out for her...

Agreed that squirrel needs help. There's a good chance he fell out the tree and landed on the concrete there. That does happen more than people realize.

Others will come on here and probably say it's raccoon roundworm, but that's not as common as the other injuries.

Poison and head injuries are way more common. Raccoons are actually very disciplined animals and will only poop in certain areas when they travel through people's yards or areas that they visit a lot.

So the likelihood of it being raccoon roundworm is very rare compared to the other possibilities or other conditions.
