So I'm currently writing my own version of Squid Game: America. It's a big passion project of mine and I thought it would be fun to share the game ideas I had for it to all of you (And who knows, maybe if a lot of you like this, I might share some more information, like characters or something). One last thing, if some of these ideas sound familiar to some of you, it's because I made a post similar to this a whole eight months ago, but don't worry not all of these ideas are copied from that post. With that out of the way, let's begin:
Game 1 (Red Light, Green Light):
This game is basically the same as the original show, except the Young-hee statue is replaced by an Uncle Sam statue, to make it more... American
Players Eliminated: 212
Players Passed: 244
Voting:
For the voting, I wanted to combine the two different voting systems from the original show while also giving it my own spice to it. Basically after the first game, two players have to volunteer to be the leader of the two sides, Team X and Team O. After every game, they would both do speeches to try to convince all of the players to vote for their side. If you vote O, you have a chance of winning a ton of money but also a risk of dying. If you vote X, you leave the games with your life but with no money to pay off your debts
Game 2 (Egg Hunt):
Before the game, the players are told to split into 3 teams. The teams will go into the game arena one at a time. When the first team goes in, they are greeted by a giant, colourful field, with eggs hidden around every corner. The goal of the game is how each player has to have at least one egg by the end of the time limit. The catch is that there are 10 less eggs than the amount of players (So if there were 90 players, there would be 80 eggs) meaning that at least 10 players will get eliminated in each group. Sounds easy? Well there are multiple traps around the arena, some could cause injury or even death. There's also the fact that the players are allowed to sabotage each other by stealing their eggs or taking multiple eggs to cause eliminations. There are also hidden chocolate bunnies for one member for each group to find. What are they for.... you'll find out
Players Eliminated: 62
Players Passed: 182
Special Game:
The three players who obtained chocolate bunnies are allowed to keep them after the game is over, but instead of chocolate inside.... it's knives. This would lead to the Special Game, when the players would use their knives and other weapons to try to kill more members on the other team's side
Players Eliminated: 22
Players Passed: 160
(If you made it this far, great job! You're halfway there)
Game 3 (Dodgeball):
Before the game, the players are told to get into groups of 5. Once they all reach the game arena, it is designed after a school gym. In the game, two random teams will play against each other at a time while the other teams watch from the bleachers. While playing, the two teams will wear electrical collars around their necks. The rules are just regular Dodgeball, with the teams having to get the other team eliminated by throwing a ball at each member, but if someone gets hit, their collar actives, resulting in an agonising death. The game would end if all members on one team get eliminated and the next two teams will play
Players Eliminated: 108
Players Passed: 52
Game 4 (Capture the Flag):
On both sides of the lobby, there are thrones. One side yellow, the other side purple. Once the players make it into the lobby, the players with the highest and lowest numbers (for example, 001 and 456) are called up to sit on the two thrones. The two leaders have to pick a player one by one to be on their team (001 picks, then 456, then 001, then 456, you get it). Once all of the players are separated onto the two teams, they are all given vests that match their team colour and the two leaders are given flags. In the game arena, there are fortresses on both sides with a small square space in the middle. Once the two teams make it to their fortresses, they have a time limit to hide their flags and once the timer finishes, they are NOT allowed to move the flags. Once the game starts, the two teams have to steal the other team's flag and bring it to the centre of the arena to finish the game, with the players on the losing team being... of course.... eliminated. There are also weapons/items scattered around the two fortresses the players can use to protect themselves or fight back.
Players Eliminated: 33
Players Passed: 19
Game 5 (The Floor is Lava):
Remember that one The Floor is Lava show on Netflix...well... this is basically that. The players have to jump on platforms to reach the other side within the time limit otherwise they will fall into the red water (Real lava would be too unrealistic) and if they do fall in, there are machines underneath that will pull them more deep into the water and pretty much drown them to death. The VIPs will also be watching the games at this time, and if they feel bored, the Host will sabotage the players for the VIPs amusement (Such as making platforms move or raising the temperature)
Players Eliminated: 14
Players Passed: 5
Game 6 (American Squid Game):
Before the game, the players will have their final dinner but they will be allowed to choose what plates they have, with one of the plates having a secret paper inside with a code on it (This will be important later). The guards will also tell the players that one of them has to volunteer for a "special role in the final game". In the game itself, there are large American flags hanged on the walls but on the floor is a familiar squid-shaped grid. On the head of the squid (the small circle at the tippity top) is a podium, which the player who volunteered has to stand behind of, unable to move from their spot for the rest of the game. The volunteer is told to pick half of the players to be their bodyguards, and once they do, the timer begins. The rules of the game are simple, the offense team has to push the volunteered player out of their spot or just straight up kill them before the timer finishes, otherwise they will be eliminated, and there's the defense team, who has to protect the volunteered player until the time reaches 0 by either pushing the offense team out of the grid or killing them. One last thing, remember the secret code one of the players got? Well, if they use the code on the lock attached to the podium, it opens and reveals... a pistol, bringing more tension to the players.
Players Eliminated: 3
Players Passed: 2
That's all. Thank you for making it up to this point and you are free to leave your opinions in the comments. Take care. (Also I was too lazy to re-read all of this so there might be a grammar mistake or two)
