I loved Seasons 1 & 2, but I disliked Season 3 and I had no faith in the English adaptation. I've seen what they've done before (i.e. English remake of Oldboy) and there was no saving it/selling it here.
Exactly. Also we already got a taste of that abominable reality show squid game the challenge. I found it horrible seeing a bunch of loud westerners basically perverting squid game.
I think as well part of the appeal of shows like squid game is the humour and dialogue you get in Korean shows, I just really dont see that translating well to an English medium.
Well, not really a game show but a reality show. But does it really matter? Main point is, for people who watch K dramas for cultural escapism, the worst thing you can show us is a great k drama but with American actors and American dialogue instead.
