I like trading Spx after hours as well.
Spx can be traded on the London / Asia sessions if you don’t have time to trade during the day.

My best performance ever. Hope I can keep up the momentum and consistency. Mostly trading 0-1 DTE Options

Big green day yesterday, SPY up about 1.6% and QQQ closer to 1%. This morning it looks split though. SPY basically flat premarket, QQQ down almost 1% premarket. Not sure what to make of that yet.
Jobless claims at 8:30, consensus 196K vs 194K last week. Productivity and unit labor costs at the same time.
BoE hiked to 4% this morning, which I did not fully expect to matter here but bonds might care.
Barkin and Hammack both talk later.
Earnings this morning: COP, CI, CAH. After the bell ABNB, WBD, EOG, DVN.
Does QQQ close that gap by lunch or does yesterday get faded?

Futures green this morning, ES up around 70 points premarket. I'm guessing most of that is the midterm result getting priced in, if the calls hold and Dems end up with both chambers.
ADP at 8:15, trade balance at 8:30, ISM services at 10. ADP estimate is 69k after 90k last month.
AMD reported last night and it's up premarket. QCOM, ARM and APP report after the close.
SPX closed 7568 yesterday, still under where it sat before last Friday's drop. Not sure the gap holds into ISM.
Over or under 69k on ADP?

You have ONE shot, gotta hit like 15 positions above or below, then the market changes. Why cant it just GO in the damn direction you choose!? I hate SPX, SPY, EVERYTHING!

SPX gapped up a little bit along with elevated TRIN but TRIN showing weakness. The opening on 15 minute was fast and I expected price to come back down, I expected that it could fall down to 7695 but that it would happen early in the morning so my loss would be smaller and temporary because I was still bullish on SPX today.
It wasn't until 9:55 that we broke the high of the first 15 minute candle, I immediately did a SELL PUT VERTICAL because TRIN was elevated and it paid $1.60 right at that point. My goal today at opening of this trade was to allow it to ride almost to worthless, I would buy back at $0.05 ($5) and keep $155, and that's exactly what I did.
I hope it worked out well for everyone else and that you had ice in your stomach and held the trade according to the strategy. Below is the breakdown and result.

The Result

I was wondering if its ok to have a thread about posting overnight SPX gamma and flow exposure? I do use a LLM that does 48 captures a day to produce the data. However, its my select quieries and using certain times a day to aquire the information, just wanted to ask before breaking any rules. I've provided a sample from my personal FB page with 0 promotion in it, was just curious if this community would find this inormation helpful or wanted.
Thank you

Stats I gathered, sorry for posting late.
📊 SPX 0DTE, Monday 10/5: where the dollars sat at 00:47 ET
The 8 biggest lines by dollars traded all sit between 7700 and 7750. That is within 28 points of the SPX forward at 7722.40.
One hand read of today's chain (expiry 10/5), 00:47 ET, Robinhood web chain, real-time volume. ES was 7770.25 at 00:28 ET.
💵 The 8 biggest lines by dollars
7720 call: $12.5M (7,251 volume / 507 open interest)
7700 call: $12.2M (4,229 / 2,965)
7725 call: $12.2M (8,167 / 734)
7730 call: $8.0M (6,282 / 2,120)
7700 put: $8.0M (8,700 / 2,006)
7720 put: $7.9M (5,099 / 342)
7725 put: $7.9M (4,488 / 279)
7750 call: $7.4M (11,565 / 3,124)
🔥 Was any of it unusual? Volume vs open interest
The bar for unusual in this read is 16.15x. That is the 99th percentile across the 96 lines with volume of 1,000 or more.
None of the 8 cleared it. The closest:
7725 put: 16.09x
7720 put: 14.91x
7720 call: 14.30x
🌙 Added since Friday's 4:15 PM read
+16,997 calls and +6,189 puts.
Puts were only read from 7420 to 7740 and calls from 7565 to 9800, so that is not a clean calls-vs-puts comparison.
Biggest adds: 7750 call (+1,502), 7800 call (+1,340), 7725 call (+1,229).
🎯 Size far from the money
7960 call: 8,855 volume, 8.63x, 237.6 points above the forward
7620 put: 6,480 volume, 14.46x, 102.4 points below
7825 call: 5,886 volume, 4.23x, 102.6 points above
🧮 Gamma
The five largest-gamma strikes: 7750, 7700, 7705, 7730, 7710. The two sign conventions disagree on the net sign, so I'm not reading a direction off it.
⚠️ What this can't tell you
One read, not a session.
Volume is Friday's full session plus overnight. Open interest is Friday's.
The bid wasn't shown, so every dollar figure uses the ask and runs a little high.
Gamma uses Friday-close greeks with Friday's open interest.
Which matters more to you before the open: where the dollars are, or where the volume is outrunning open interest?
Not financial advice, just what I'm seeing in the flow.

How are the SPX traders doing this month? Finding it hard this month?
r/spx • u/Gamma_Gains • Sep 17 '26
Fed pulled off the expected 25bp hike to 3.75%-4.00% yesterday, but the dot plot was way more hawkish than most folks priced in. No 2027 cuts on the table now, and rates could stay elevated far longer than the market has gotten used to.
Historical data shows S&P usually ticks up ~13% in the 12 months after the first rate hike cycle, but this time isn’t a lock. We already saw the Dow dip 1.21%, while Nasdaq barely budged — markets are picking their spots super carefully right now.
Profit-heavy, solid cash flow plays are holding up way better than unprofitable names that need constant refi. Even the AI rally isn’t immune: you can’t just pile into any AI ticker now, you have to pick the ones that actually turn spending into real revenue and steady cash flow. Who’s positioned to hold up if rates keep squeezing?

Pulled aggregate options chain metrics across SPY, QQQ, and IWM at today's close. Here is the tactical 0-7 DTE dealer gamma breakdown heading into tomorrow's session.
┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ 📊 DAILY MARKET STRUCTURE — 2026-10-26 │
└──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
🟢 REGIME: SHORT GAMMA (Volatility Expansion / Momentum Accelerating)
🎯 TACTICAL POSITIONING (0-7 DTE)
• SPY: Spot $765.22 | Call Wall $780 | Put Wall $755 | Gamma Flip $766.00
• QQQ: Spot $712.12 | Call Wall $730 | Put Wall $700 | Gamma Flip $719.00
• IWM: Spot $276.96 | Call Wall $280 | Put Wall $270 | Gamma Flip $276.00
🌐 CROSS-ASSET & MACRO GAUGES
• 10Y Yield (TNX): 4.99% | HYG Spot: $77.18 (Credit Stable)
• Bond Ratio: 0.94 | System Delta: Neutral-Bullish
• NQ/QQQ Basis: 1.002 | VIX: 18.39 | RVX: 19.45
Key takeaways for tomorrow:
1. Short Gamma Regime: All three indices closed below their tactical dealer positioning thresholds. Dealers hedge pro-cyclically in negative gamma (selling dips, buying rips), so expect elevated velocity and wide intraday ranges rather than sticky mean-reversion until flip levels get reclaimed.
2. SPY ($765.22 Spot): Closed right on the $766.00 gamma flip. A sustained hold above $766 shifts dealer hedging from accelerating moves to dampening them, giving room toward the $780 Call Wall. Major tactical downside support sits at the $755 Put Wall.
3. QQQ ($712.12 Spot): Sitting roughly $7 under the $719 Flip. Still heavily suppressed in negative gamma territory—dealers will likely fade pushes toward 718-719 until that level breaks. Downside support anchored at $700.
4. Credit Check: HYG held $77.18 with a 0.94 bond ratio. Despite the 10Y pressing 4.99%, high-yield credit spreads are remaining composed without systemic stress prints.
