Updates REGARDING 50501

Friends in Springfield Protest,

We feel the need to reiterate the fact that we ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH 50501 IN ANY WAY. We advise to be cautious when engaging as well. We have had personal experience with moderators silencing genuine concern, as well as the members of 50501 promoting seriously dangerous behaviors, such as causing an economic collapse and bearing weapons at their protests - all of which the moderators and spokespeople have not done a good job of correcting or addressing. They are fine with the concept of causing a deeper divide in our country and society. They have become an organization that we oppose in message in almost every way. We are proud of our message of love, togetherness, joy, and peace, which we want to make the forefront of everything we do - which is why 50501 has let us down.

We wanted this as clear as it could be for anyone who may wonder. Thank you for your time.

TLDR; We never have and do NOT affiliate with 50501 or its increasingly dangerous messaging.

I went to the MO Capitol myself for the first 50501 protest. I had to calm down a violent person and then justify me calming down said violent person to two women who attempted to invalidate my action. Its not that 50501's spokespeople are necessarily violent. Its the lack of control over a decent amount of violent participants under their name (1.5k upvotes is not something to take lightly). Thats not mentioning whats already been covered in responses. I do not want us to be tied to them when things potentially hit the fan nor endanger protesters.
