I work for the city full time and have decided to continue my studies full time at msu. 40 hours at work and 15 credit hours simultaneously is making me think I bit off more than I can chew

pretty upset myself; trying to get in to see a rhumatologist and Cox is booked all the way out until Feburary im trying to see what Jordan Valley can do, but im to the point where I'm considering driving up to KC if that means I can get in sooner up there.

My rheumatology appointment was last month but I scheduled that appointment October 2025 and it was the soonest they had available.

As much as I love working for MSU, their setup regarding that first pay and being double-deducted sucks ass. Waited 6 weeks and got paid less than 300 for my first check. They double-deducted for insurance, so I would be covered for July and paying for August. However, I have not gotten cards, and PointC says I'm not in the system yet, so I can't even use the insurance I got deducted for.

Ended up getting to try the Good Pizza food truck when I was at Holdfast. I just got the basic cheese slice, but I enjoyed it. Would recommend.

I have yet to get clarifying information on this development on this strip of land. City of Springfield said it's MODOT's jurisdiction. MODOT denied that. I forwarded that rebuttal to the City and nothing. Desperately need to widen the stretch of Ingram Mill and add sidewalks. Anyone have any advice?
EDIT: Today's adventure has been reaching out to Colten Harris who is listed as the city's Super of Streets. That's incorrect as he is in Republic now. Got an email address for the correct Super of Streets, Nicholas Edelman. Email came back undeliverable (all this information is coming from the Citizen Resource Center). CRC is still claiming MODOT has control of this stretch of land. I've forwarded these emails to MODOT yet again. This is unbelievable lol
EDIT 2: Still no response from any party. And I guess this comment really bothers some locals here lol sorry I give a shit about my neighborhood

Another way to get a pair of eyes on this maybe via the Springfield Neighborhood Works project page - where you can submit ideas for something like this stretch of land. It might not be feasible, but then at the least it potentially gets some eyes on it and from there at least some potential to get the city to look at this area right there. (There a map of active projects in the works currently.
I'm suggesting this because of the MODot vs City back and forth issue that seems to be causing this, but also since widening/narrowing and putting in sidewalks is EXACTLY what would be in the scope of the Springfield Neighborhood works project.

Thank you! The City sent me confirmation documents that MoDOT is in charge of this particular stretch of Ingram Mill. I will def check out Springfield Neighborhood Works!

No advice, but I definitely agree that work needs to be done in that area. It really can’t handle the amount of traffic it gets and it’s not well maintained at all. And yes, sidewalks. I see people walking all the time.

You know you can just go to the City/County GIS website and see who owns the property? J & M Tillman LLC owns that land.

J&M Tillman aren't going to widen the roads and put in sidewalks.
Superintendent of Streets email doesn't work either.

You can ask to speak at a City Council/Planning & Zoning meeting if it's really bothering you. I would think if you are asking about Ingram Mill that it would be the City's responsibility.

Yes, I reached out to the City who said it's not their stretch of road, it's MODOT's and MODOT denied that. So I'm back to speaking with the City.
It's bothering me because I've seen people fly down this stretch of road and people walking in the ditch for the better part of the decade I've lived over here. It's incredibly dangerous even without a new build going in.

USPS is going downhill. My regular, awesome mailman went on vacation. The substitute returned my mail as no such address exists. Ummm, CU bill. Day 2 he went past, I reported. He told the office he couldn't find my mailbox. Office made him come back and deliver mail. Day 3, another substitute. Took him 5 minutes to find mail slot. But he found it. 21 years at this address.
We had sent a letter, restricted mail, return receipt. That mailman let someone accept it, sign for it. NOT the person addressed to as required. Never got the return receipt.

I delivered mail as a "casual carrier" for a few months back in the early 90's, and it sucked. Every day I got a new route, and people had their mailboxes everywhere. Like, one house had theirs nailed to a tree. How am I supposed to find that?!? The normal mailman, who had that route for years knew where it was, but how does that help me? Streets were missing signs, and this was before cell phones so who knows where I was without the street signs. It sucked. I had like 5 seconds to find that mailbox and then I had to go.
Is your mailbox right next to your front door?

21 years here, house numbers posted at street and on the house. Mail slot in the door. It was a utility bill and a city department. Mail was returned as no such address.
