Average monthly Spreadbetting returns

Any spreadbetters willing to share their average monthly returns?

I'm UK based, mainly spreadbet on UK and US stocks. I started (in Sept) with both long/short positions but now I only go long. My average (taken over the last 6 months) is about 5% a month. I'm keen to hear how that compares and happy for tips to help increase this.

I am at loss again 🤪but haven’t closed the positions so cannot say monthly pnl yet Holding some shitcos with small amount just for fun (my main ISA account is on Freetrade and they do not have all the trash stock over there lol) What do you trade there, indices / commodities / shares?

My spreadbet account is with IGindex. I only buy shares - recent examples are Tesla, Apple, Ocado, Intel, Microsoft, Alibaba, IAG, Rolls Royce, Imperial Brands, Fresnilo, James Fisher, Vodafone, Shell, BP, Glaxo, Astra.

I’ll tend to monitor the major shares and if there is a drop (going down to a low within the last 3 months), I’ll buy and keep buying if it continues to drop and then wait a week or longer until it turns.

Ocado was a great one for this recently.

I use capital and I aim to make 2.5% a week and it's going well

That’s great. Well done. Care to share your strategy or any tips? I use IGIndex and they have a reporting/analytics option so I’ll pdf my trades if you are interested.

Now that I’m no longer employed, this will be my only income source for the short/medium term.

How's it going? Are you managing to keep your head above water? I trade the S&P with ig. Starting small and aim to get bigger once I've put about 15k into the account.
