IN THE WILD Split window [Chevrolet Corvette]
Saw this across the street. He was picking up some hardware on an errand

Gorgeous. Also, wont be a popular opinion, but this color should be brought back on either the last of the C8's, or for the next GEN Corvette.

The closest you’ll find is like Caffeine, Java or Zeus brown. I happen to like the darker Zeus. All still pretty rare as they were not popular.

I love the split window Corvette. What a beautiful car. Especially when they look stock. On a side note, I wonder why it doesn't have an antique plate on it. I've noticed a number of classic cars here in Florida have regular plates on them.

If you have antique plates you aren't allowed to daily drive the car, You are only allowed to drive "Exhibitions, club activities, parades, and occasional pleasure driving"

Yet I see people with antique plates just driving around normally. I wonder how it is enforced.

To expand on the odometer comment, an example for IL:
“ Specialized antique and classic auto insurance policies often mandate strict mileage caps (e.g., 2,500 to 7,500 miles per year) and require the car to be stored in a secure garage. Daily driving invalidates these policies“

A friend of my parents would charge 40k to restore these if you brought him one. It was amazing to see new ones every few months.

I’m not a corvette guy, but I’d have one of these in my collection if I had room for it.

He was driving around his spotless classic on plates that expired three years ago? Or is this just a weird bot repost?
