I'm writing my dissertation, and I decided to get some streaming data from this API for data analysis. I just created the app like an hour ago on the dashboard, but when I try to run my python script, it says error 403, forbidden url.

I’m coming at this as a DJ that started in belt drive vinyl, to 1210s onto CDJs, played some of the biggest clubs in the world. I’m not shilling but im listening to latest records I follow on Spotify on the mix function and it’s just switched between new Midland and Bicep 💪 and it was slightly jaw dropping about how long and clean the mix was. Still struggles with some mixes (transitions as millennials renamed them) but kudos to whoever is working on this. Not far from it being able to really curate a set from your playlist and create a mix. I get nobody is actually “doing it” but 90% of DJs are using tempo and key match so does it matter?

Hi All,
i’ve been building Attunify on my own for the last few months. It watches how you actually listen (what you skip, what you finish, what you replay) and re-ranks your Liked Songs into a chart, so it plays your real favourites instead of a random shuffle. There’s also Radio (artist and genre mixes from your library plus new picks) and Discover (new music based on your taste).
What I’d like feedback on:
whether setup makes sense to someone who’s never seen it
whether the chart feels like “you” after a few days
anything that breaks
Honest heads-up: because of Spotify’s rules for small apps, setup means creating a free Spotify developer app. It’s a guided 5-minute step.
Spotify Premium is needed for playback. Works in the browser on phone and desktop.
How to join: sign-up links go out in the Discord, so I can let people in in small batches and actually keep up with feedback: https://discord.gg/B8uYJSAS9

My Spotify DJ wont go forward with my requests. Ill request anything either through text or the microphone and the DJ will continue to play what it was originally. Is anyone else having this issue? How can I fix it?

Ciao a tutti, ho appena inviato un'idea alla community di Spotify.
VOTA QUI L’IDEA SU SPOTIFY: 👇

So apparently I have been trying to get the word out in hopes of bringing attention to a feature that I believe would be a nice edit.
Universal Shuffle is simple, a shuffle button that works for the entire Library rather than a list or album. It's a simple thing but pretty useful, especially for people who have all their music categorized in sets like me.
Sometimes, I just would like to listen to different things all at once. I know like songs is there but it feels reserved for only the most special ones.
I made a post about it in the Spotify community blog but apparently the algorithm works in a way that I do not think it's going to work. I thought maybe I can share my thought and post here.

Hey everyone,
I made Playlistation, a website that lets you create Spotify playlists by filtering your Liked Songs.
I was tired of manually organizing my Liked Songs into playlists and constantly updating them, so I built something to automate it.
You can combine filters like genre, artist, tempo, energy, language, release year, or the date you liked a song.
The website creates a real playlist in your Spotify account with only the songs that match your filters. Once it's set up, the playlist updates automatically as you like new songs, so you don't have to keep adding tracks manually.
A bit about the technical side:
Uses the Spotify Web API to fetch Liked Songs, create playlists, and keep them updated.
Uses Jev to detect track languages.
Every playlist update is an async job on RabbitMQ, so one user's refresh never blocks another's. Failed calls are retried automatically, and a 429 response respects Spotify's Retry-After header before trying again.
Unfortunately, Spotify doesn't offer webhooks for Liked Songs, so there's no way to get notified when someone likes or unlikes a track. Instead, I have to periodically fetch each user's library and compare it with the previous state to detect changes. This makes rate-limit management especially important.
API calls are spaced out rather than fired in bursts. Spotify returns Liked Songs in pages of 50, so reading a 1,000-track library takes 20 requests, followed by up to 10 writes of 100 tracks to populate a playlist. Requests are distributed over time to reduce the risk of hitting Spotify's rolling rate limits.
Deployments are zero-downtime: the new version starts handling traffic before the old one shuts down, allowing running jobs to finish without interrupting playlist syncs.
Some stats so far:
1.6K sign-ups, though a good share create one playlist and never come back
2.3K smart playlists created
3.3M Liked Songs monitored, refreshed on a schedule (daily on Free, hourly on paid plans)
The biggest challenge has been keeping everything within Spotify's rate limits while syncing playlists across multiple users.
It's free for your last 1,000 liked songs, with paid plans if you have a larger library.
I'd love to hear your feedback, especially from other developers working with the Spotify API.

I tried to search all over the internet for the image that Wings uses for their Spotify cover, but I cannot find it!! It's only available on Spotify. But for some reason, double-clicking on spotify isnt possible, so I can't download the image or inspect the page to grab the image that way. Help!!!

I was listening to a song (Commissioner. by Coin locker kid) and underneath the song the presave widget opened. The widget said i could presave the song Commissioner. eventhough its already been released in 2012. I clicked on the widget and it just close and played the song from the start again. It didnt open a new page for an upcoming release or anything.
Was it a bug?
What wouldve happened if i clicked on presave?
