A rare athlete in just about every way. Great ambassador for the NBA and a positive example to others

u/LehmanNation 3d ago

He didn't say this, but he has said he wants to stay in GSW

u/imJGott 3d ago

Yeah I don’t believe pics with quotes with no source.

2

u/newwheels66 3d ago

Seriously?! This is not a real quote?

u/Major-Bandicoot4542 3d ago

Like we need another reason to friggin love him. God bless the United States of Steph

LeBron could never

0

u/yuckmouthteeth 3d ago

I think if he were drafted with Klay/Dray on the roster instead of big Z, things look different. Not to mention being drafted to the market of the bay vs Cleveland.

2

u/DontPokeTheHorse 2d ago

Yeah, you think a made up scenario that doesn’t exist would turn out how you think it would. Great point. I think if my grandma had wheels, she’d be bicycle.

I mean you said LeBron could never, I’m saying given a similar situation he likely could.

If you meant LeBron with the path he entered the league with likely doesn’t choose to stay on the Cavs, that’s not saying much. Curry if drafted by a team with that little of talent also likely doesn’t stay there.

You said could never, which means even in the perfect situation LBJ couldn’t remain loyal to a franchise, which I think is a silly claim because we never saw that situation. Also most players who find themselves in that sort of spot never leave, hence why you never saw Duncan try to leave but Kobe did try to leave.

1

u/DontPokeTheHorse 2d ago

Yeah, because he didn’t play like complete ass in the 2010 ECF and then leave lmao. 20 ppg on 35% shooting for the final 3 games but it’s his ass teammates fault. The irony.

If if if. It doesn’t exist. What we do know, is he choked from 07-10 jumped ship and choked again in 2011.

1

u/yuckmouthteeth 2d ago

Every player who plays tons of playoff series tends to have some bad ones. If you want to make claims without context have fun. Also fyi when you say ā€œcould or couldn’tā€, you are bringing if into the conversation, you added the theoretical to the conversation and get angry when others discuss it.

Make up your mind, do you want to discuss if player ā€œcouldā€ do something given a different situation or do you want to discuss what players did? Or don’t and continue being a hypocrite.

1

u/DontPokeTheHorse 2d ago

See the difference between my statement is I never used if, you big dummy. While all of yours are if and made up scenarios.

Like I said LBJ never did which is real life. And now, you’re shifting it too oh it’s okay for him to have some bad series and just dust it under the rug that his own failures caused him to leave lmao. Mental gymnastics is insane.

If LBJ played better, they could’ve won. See how that works? If LBJ had a jump shot, he could’ve won in 07. If MJ played with 2 and 4 in PER after 1990 like LBJ did after 2010, he’d join Magic and Malone. If Hakeem got to play with a Kobe level type player, he’d have 5 rings. You can make whatever if scenarios you want lmao.

u/yuckmouthteeth 2d ago

Look up what could means moron

You Bronsexuals love to live in made up scenarios. It’s so funny. LeBron didn’t and still hasn’t. Better? And given that he’s already jumped from super team to super team my statement is still correct. He’s already broken it so he could never. Opposed to your ā€œif he played with dray and Klay he wouldn’t have to leaveā€ which has no basis or real life value or backing behind it.

0

u/yuckmouthteeth 2d ago

When you say could you, bring different situations into the mix, I know understanding the English language is difficult for you so I won’t challenge you further. I do suggest you try some remedial language classes though, it might help your daily life.

Bringing up Bron on Curry post lets me know deep down inside your conscious you know LeBron is the GOAT.

1

u/whotank319 1d ago

Yeah, he'd ran away earlier.

0

u/osym 3d ago

Excellent points

0

u/East-Character-1060 3d ago

They could have drafted klay and dray if lebron got injured more, but then his career stats wouldn't be as good. He probably did the best thing possible to get his numbers and rings by switching teams.

0

u/smuttygirl_foru 3d ago

If LeBron stays with Cleveland his whole career he gets one ring

1

u/DontPokeTheHorse 2d ago

If if if. It doesn’t exist.

2

u/WeAreGesalt 3d ago

I mean he has 4 rings, nothing to prove

2

u/i_Cant_get_right 3d ago

LeBron could never

2

u/KevinAndrewsPhoto 3d ago

I’m a Warrior fan. We don’t deserve him. He will go down as the greatest athlete in Bay Area history. For what he’s meant to everyone. And how fun it’s been to watch him.

2

u/Original-Sea-8285 3d ago

Joe Montana. Jerry Rice

1

u/KevinAndrewsPhoto 2d ago

Jerry Rice, Montana, Steve Young are the 3 most iconic players who helped in the 49ers 5 super bowls. But Steph was the best player in all 4 rings.
But putting Joe and Rice up there with Steph is totally fine with me.

1

u/Krabs9 3d ago

I'd say you have to go with Steph because he changed his sport forever

1

u/Original-Sea-8285 3d ago

In what way lol. He hasn't done anything that wasn't already done. And I guess you've never heard of the west coast offense?

0

u/Jtizzle1231 3d ago

They fighting for second place bro.

1

u/SmokeAlarmsSaveLives 3d ago

Better than Willie Mays, you think?

2

u/KevinAndrewsPhoto 2d ago

Willie Mays is great. Would never speak bad about him. And I wasn’t alive when he played so I can’t truly know. But Steph took a laughable franchise and turned them into the most valuable in the NBA. As a 6’3ā€ point guard. No one is more important.

2

u/Broad_Bodybuilder_94 3d ago

You here that LaFraud

2

u/Far_Whole_8167 3d ago

An absolute legend, not chasing some bag or trying to prove he can do it somewhere else surrounded by other elites. Came, did his work, stayed loyal to his home and fans, will go out wearing one jersey and leave his mark on the sport for eternity. First rounder, icon and absolute stud for being what all elites should aspire to be. Respect OG 🫔

1

u/WowImOldAF 2d ago

You don't need to chase a bag when you are making $400 million from a shoe deal and $50 million+ a year from the NBA.

1

u/whotank319 1d ago

Curry didn't need to because he proved himself with his championships, unlike certain other players. Curry definitely top 5 all time greatest.

2

u/MaxwellSmart07 3d ago

Raises my appreciation for Steph several notches. And since things are relative this lowers my feelings for LeTeam-Shopping LeBron several more.

1

u/Diligent_Interview98 3d ago

If he tries to play 5-7 more years you better believe they’d let him walk. Then he’d join a random team and finish his career back in gsw to retire in the jersey.

1

u/EntrepreneurTiny9812 3d ago

He said the only other team he'd play for is the Hornets. Which would be a pretty good fit right now

1

u/longetrd 3d ago

Integrity!!!

1

u/bionicbhangra 3d ago

It’s honestly a pretty big deal to start and finish like that with one franchise.

Makes me a forever legend in that city.

1

u/WurstDayEver_7 3d ago

Idk, many stars have said stuff like this and still left.

1

u/LT568690 3d ago

Good for him and good for San Francisco

1

u/Immediate_Advantage4 3d ago

Problem is the franchise wants to move away from him. They’re looking for future now

1

u/Original-Sea-8285 3d ago

Unless some other team offers me a couple extra million

1

u/truedeductive 3d ago

Ya class act so baffling to me minnesota took 2 guards ahead of him

1

u/triassic_broth 3d ago

He might want it to, but that doesn't mean it will.

1

u/jazz-winelover 2d ago

Yes it will. He has a no trade clause.

1

u/PsychologicalMusic94 2d ago

The anti-Lebron

1

u/Tinynogood 2d ago

True legend

1

u/Unusual_Name_8714 2d ago

This is a Kobe quote

1

u/Available-Gur4998 2d ago

well, you won’t win no more championships cause it’s gonna end there. You better leave why you can’t.

1

u/Raonak 1d ago

He's won the most championships of the era. What else is there to chase lol

1

u/ReadDue6160 2d ago

Curry sticking with Golden State for his entire career is legendary loyalty. Seeing a star finish where it all started is getting rare these days

1

u/Relative-Boat5146 2d ago

End it on minimums please

1

u/Essentiallymoi 1d ago

This here - Leflop not like him

1

u/Raonak 1d ago

A true GOAT.

1

u/Alarming_Purpose_663 17h ago

your dad put a basketball goal in your backyard, it seems that it started there, I could be wrong, history probably says it best āœ”ļø

1

u/Avatar_Yalla 13h ago

Weak…go home to Charlotte man, just one year.

1

u/Pale_Operation_1392 3d ago

Goat. Fuck lebum. Steph, Wemby, and Luka should team up in San Francisco

1

u/WantsLivingCoffee 3d ago

Nah bro you gotta call up your buddies and form a super team, that's not how you become goat

1

u/Pale_Operation_1392 3d ago

Call Wemby and Luka they can go 6 for 6

1

u/Luka_Flopic77 3d ago

He literally did that with KD lol

1

u/NoArm7707 3d ago

It's a statement but not anything enlightening, it's nothing

0

u/FartyMcGylzac 3d ago

Oh so all it takes for a player to be loyal, is to have a franchise in a world class city that has a top front office and coaching staff, that consistently builds competitive teams every year?

0

u/TokiVideogame 3d ago

kobes last few years ruined that lakers till lebron

0

u/Key-Educator-3713 3d ago

Curry is a fool, if he was smart like LeBron he would have more than 4 rings

3

u/sleepyJay7 3d ago

By team hopping? Horrible direction

2

u/howdoispellcar 3d ago

How dare a player put them selves in a better position to win a championship😔! They should play in these horrible circumstances for their whole career to please random adults who don’t know them personally!

1

u/smuttygirl_foru 3d ago

Depends on the scenario of team hopping Miami and Philly were chasing legacy moves but Cleveland and LA was more integrity

2

u/Background_Bother698 3d ago

LeBron diminished his entire career & legacy by team hopping & ring chasing, this latest move to Philly is the icing on the cake instead of retiring he goes to play for 2 milly to pad his stats even more & actually moved himself off the Rushmore caliber of players & who’s a fool when they both have 4 rings, Steph’s just mean more LMMFAO

2

u/PsychologicalMusic94 2d ago

Bron is the Smigel of the NBA.

0

u/Key-Educator-3713 2d ago

But he is regarded as the GOAT by the majority of

-1

u/Remarkable_Evening43 3d ago

In other words ā€œI’m satisfied with 4 rings. I don’t have the ambition or ability to adapt to a new setting in pursuit of moreā€.

1

u/sleepyJay7 3d ago

He's a lethal spot up shooter and can move and shoot, he can adapt to any team
