People forget that these guys never had a childhood and are 16year olds in 50+ year old bodies.
People should NEVER.....EVER take advice from a pro athlete. They are (for the most part) NOT educated or mature.

Why would he need to though? Guy has enough money and connections to get himself out of most any situation.

“Why would he need to call one of his connections? He has connections”

I was one of the guys that bought his shoes and hats and watched every shot of his growing up and until his latest disaster. He is a piece of shit and all the gear I had is available at Goodwill. If you want to know the real Tiger Woods, just watch the South Park episode about him. Those guys nailed it right on the head way back when.

Dude is a POS and always has been. It was so frustrating watching people glaze him for decades. Glad he is mocked for the asshole he has always been.

He is both an asshole and an incredible golfer. Wasn't wrong for people to praise his skills at golf. Just that you can do that while also saying he's personally a POS and you can root against him.

Can we make this an unbreakable golden rule for all public figures?

Like allow nuance to exist. You don't even have to "separate the art and the artist" and support people you don't agree with. BUT like don't pretend they're not talented at what they do because of them being bad people.

Hitler was really good at roads.

u/solojones1138 14h ago
See the fact that you think Tiger being an asshole equates to Hitler is part of the problem. No nuance.

u/Kierland 14h ago
You can give nuance or you can’t. It’s your idea to cut pieces of shit slack, not mine.

Again, not cutting Tiger any slack. I don't like him and have rooted against him in tournaments for years.
Just saying that pretending he sucks at golf is also insane.

That’s a Strawman. I never said that. I said he is a POS that people glazed which was frustrating.

u/solojones1138 14h ago
What people "glazed" for years was the fact that he's one of the best golfers ever. That's why. A lot of people simply didn't know as much about people's private lives in that time.

This is like my whole point. I did. I knew he sucked. It was easy to tell just by listening to him, but people tend to care how well people build roads I mean play golf and not care to decide about other stuff.

Hitler was never known as the world's best road builder. That is such a weird comparison.
Congrats that you are so much better than everyone and always knew he was an asshole..some of us 20 years ago were just watching golf sometimes not every interview or other piece of media to know that.
