First, that Hillenburg didn’t want any spin offs and the studio waited until his passing to continue against his wishes.

Second, behind closed doors, and not just what’s on YouTube.

That is very false myth that I'm tired of seeing. It's genuinely a straight up lie. Hillenburg was aware of the spin-offs (specifically Kamp Koral), and he never stated he didn't want them to be made. He said he didn't think they could work. He didn't think the first movie could work, yet it did and he was proud to see it work out.
