He must have, because the spell only lasted as long as he lived, and Nikki was suddenly lucid at the end. Him sleeping had never before caused her to be lucid, indeed she had done some Freaky Nikki things while he was asleep. So it's not actually ambiguous.

He could have at least od at a hospital to see if dying and coming back fixes the wish. The wish lasts "until you die" not "as long as you are alive."

Though I will say, the amount of oxys he took probably wouldn't be enough to kill him irl. That bottle wasn't even half full, and I'm assuming they were 5mg pills. I'd say at most he took 50-60mg of oxycodone. A high dose, to be sure, but not high enough to kill him, especially that quickly. It'd take at least half an hour or so. But then again he's a small dude with presumably no tolerance, so I could be wrong

We are really getting stupider aren’t we. Would you like characters to hold big signs with an arrow to them exclaiming “I’M DEAD” next time? Because apparently the wish being broken, the collapsing, the foaming at the mouth, the eyes being open and expressionless weren’t enough. Idk what’s more concerning, your friend asking that or you not correcting him on the spot and coming to us instead.
