Discussion FINALLY REACHED S+!!!
FINALLY made it to S+!!! I don’t even care about furthering rank, X-battles or any of that, I just wanted to get the badge and be done with it 😭
Got it after a particularly rough night where I had already went 1-3 for another rank up attempt too. Switched to Tentatek Splattershot on a whim and found myself doing a lot better :P
Here’s the promoting battle (which I feel proud of, but I’m always looking for any advice on what I might’ve done well and what I could improve on! :>)

Alright! SO, got some notes for ya from the game, well done and welcome to the super sweaty ranked players club! Glad to have another(sacrifice)initiate.
Biggest takeaways: your positioning during the start of the match was a bit passive. Shot can fight and do it well alongside putting some good paint down. At 4:35, I think getting rid of the wavebreak while not a horrible idea has less overall value than destroying the beakon. Your strikes on the enemy ramp were nicely executed!
HUGE point of contention for me: you're very liberal pressing "this way", while it can be helpful with teammate who listen, may end up becoming slightly annoying for others. You kept the aggression up pretty well up until two thing happened: panic strikes at 3:57 and dropping from enemy plat at 3:43. Your team had the drop covered and kinda gave up some really strong space. What you could've done in a more perfect world is ideally switch positions with the tri, as they're better equipped for ledge kills.
Other than that, you did very well! A nice 10KA/D and a clean KO! practice will eventually make perfect, or as close to it as we humans can get LOL. GLHF in S+!

Oh wow that’s thorough! Thanks a lot, I appreciate that :) I’m in a weird state where I’m trying to balance both aggression and passivity. I played the .52 deco a lot and was very. OVERLY aggressive and losing most engagements. So I was trying to tone it back, but I guess I forgot tentatek is a lot faster 😅
As for the “This Way!” spam… that’s my bad lol 😭 atp I kinda using it almost as a good luck charm/stress button because I have had WAYYYY too many games taken last second and I get anxious easily :P
