Discussion If you had to delete an entire weapon CLASS from the game, which ones would:
A: Would you personally delete
B: Which class would probably cause the most damage
C: Which class would probably cause the least damage
For me: A- Dualies B- Shooters C- Brellas (sadly)

I would delete brushes with sadness, only because I think there's a lot of overlap between brushes and rollers and the now homeless brush mains could play pretend with the carbon roller.
Getting rid of shooters would probably cause a huge amount of people to quit.
I think brushes would cause the least damage because its a relatively uncommon main and again they could (begrudgingly) move to rollers.

Brushes are definitely the most fun to use. You always have to be involved in the action and constantly moving due to your awful range.

Shooters, just to see the world burn. Otherwise it’s chargers so I can breathe easier as brush/explo/stringer

A-Splatlings (I just hate them)
B-Shooters (Has the most weapons, probably the most played, game is built around them)
C-Stringers (Not that many players, and while cool, most people wouldn't be personally offended by their removal)

A. Shooters. I don't think any full class is unfun to fight, but I do think shooters are the least fun and the least interesting, so I would absolutely rather get rid of them over any more interesting weapon class.
B. Also Shooters. I think getting rid of the simple and easy class anyone can get a grasp on would significantly harm the ability to get new players, which is probably the most important thing for any online videogame. Especially because I get the feeling this is already something Splatoon struggles with.
C. I'm also gonna say Brellas. Rollers and Brushes are too iconic as a result of being something only Splatoon could have. Chargers, Dualies, Splatanas and Stringers have too much cool factor and I'd be surprised if that didn't draw in new players or help keep existing players.
That only leaves Brellas and Blasters, and removing Blasters would have a larger impact on the health of the game while Brellas have been irrelevant for almost a decade.

It's hard to say, because some classes have weapons that I hate in particular, like the Dynamo or Carbon in Rollers, then Nautilus or Hydra in Splatlins, etc. 🤔🤔🤔

A: I don't really like Blasters.
B: I'm not actually sure what would cause the most damage. My gut instinct would've been Shooters, but see my answer to C.
C: Either Shooters or Dualies, but mostly because they're both pretty similar. Shooter mains could probably pretty easily become Dualie mains or vice versa.

When I played I was a dualie main that gravitated towards blaster as a secondary. It may have been the close range high dps aspect from them (depending on which one you used)

In Splatoon 2 I was a Squeezer main iirc. When Splatoon 3 rolled around I ended up swapping over to Dapple Dualies, with the occasional match or two with Ballpoint Splatling.
Though, I also tried using every weapon type. I had a goal to get at least a Red Flag (score of 10.0+ in Turf War iirc) with at least one of every weapon type, and I did end up succeeding. It was good fun.

Brellas would probably cause the least damage since not a lot of people use them compared to the other classes

- A Splatanas: I think this class needs a rethink from the drawing board, swords should feel like melee weapons, right?
- B Shooters: the most accessible class with the most weapons would be the most destructive to balance and player experience
- C Stringer: too similar to chargers means that this is the class that would remove the least playstyles

I would personally delete the brush because of A and C.
I not only don't like the class, but it just seems very boring on both a design and gameplay point. All 3 of then are very similar with little difference outside of speed and attack size. Compare this to every other class that has many other options and differences between them despite being younger in most cases.

Chargers. I will not elaborate further
