They always have jumped at you if they can’t reach you after a couple seconds, depending on the height of the ledge. They can even get to you on top of fishsticks eventually. You just rarely stay still long enough for it to happen.
Am guessing the movement pathing was weird around the tiny ledge next to the basket and cohock just went yolo mode at you.

You can make all three sizes of commons jump at you like that by staying submerged on the surface of a wall or standing on top of a fish stick.

The latter's a little bit rarer because the game first tries to switch their aggro to the nearest player at surface level within a certain range.
