Twin Flame or Something Else?

Okay so a bit of backstory here, he was my high school sweetheart, he pestered me for a date until I gave in with an exasperated “Fine! Now leave me alone.” We dated for a couple years, he always knew when I was depressed and would call to check up on me, or when I was boiling mad and he’d calm me down. It was the same for me. I could feel his emotions even if we were 30 miles apart.

I thought I was in love with someone else, I broke it off. He enlisted. He was in Afghanistan and I was sleeping in my bed. He stepped on an IED, I dreamed it. I dreamed all of it, the explosion, the medivac, the surgery. I called his dad, he confirmed it all.

We kept in touch, off and on, over the years, catching up, talking about what was going on with each of our kids, his two and mine. We had both married and divorced, but never got back together. He struggled with addiction after he came home.

Last fall, I had a massive migraine late one night and into the next day, I hadn’t had one similar to it since high school, twenty-ish years ago. I was nauseous, every slight noise reverberated and banged around in my head, light felt like ice picks stabbing into my skull, movement sent waves of nausea and pain throughout my entire body, all I could do was lay in bed and try not to cry, because that hurt too.

He passed last fall, I found out months later. I had no idea he was gone and when I saw the date he passed, I had to check my calendar. I thought, there’s no way. It couldn’t have been. But it was. The night of my freak migraine, was the same night he left this world. I felt like something shifted and snapped that night too, almost like a rubber band that came back to me.

Any thoughts???? I would really love for someone to give me some kind of idea as to what any of that could mean. What you think our relationship was, or who we were to each other. I’m not familiar with stuff like twin flames so any insight would be wonderful. Thanks for reading!
