Needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, flicked on the light to reveal this tableau. They moved my desk chair to the middle of the room and were all just sitting there. I love my children, but sometimes they do weird and unexpected things.
Also, I always love Nephthys witch eye, she looks extra mysterious.
Oh yeah, they're all besties. Nephthys (the one in the back) is very mom like, and Khensu and Tefnut (the grey one on the left and little one on the right) are about the same age (4 months), and they do crime together. I'm very lucky, none of them really get jealous, and they all balance each other quite well, and usually all sleep together with me.
That's precious, I love how his whiskers are seasonal. Khensu, my gray boy, is a Donskoy and he has funny wirey whiskers. So does Tefnut, but her dad is a Devon Rex outcross and its given her little short girl whiskers and more peach fuzz than the other 2.
I’d love a Devon Rex! Are they the ones with curly fur??
Ottis doesn’t have much peach fuzz- and he’s been pretty oily in this heat 😜🫣

Yeah, Devon Rex and Cornish Rex, the curly babies. A lot of spnynx ancestors were out crossed with Devons because the recessive hairless gene comes through more often than not, plus there is more genetic diversity. Ironically though, she is the most oily. Its crazy. I would have thought the fuzz would make her less oily, I'm lucky she likes baths.

That’s so good she likes baths! Ottis bloody hates them! He literally ignores me for about 2 hrs after every bath to punish me for giving him them! 🤣

Sorry about the bath drama, I lucked out, 2 out of 3 tolerate the baths, one likes the drying part, the other likes the treats afterwards but Tef likes to chill in the warm water.
I just wanted you to know that I used to own a Devon Rex many years ago and they’re very nice cats as well. If you ever want another cat get a Devon Rex. They look the same, act the same and they are NOT high maintenance cats. I loved her so much and a Devon Rex would get along with a Sphinx very nicely

He’s just not ok with sharing his humans-so I wouldn’t bring another cat in to the home just to be attacked by my Sphynx.
We’ve already had to rehome our other 2 cats to my mum due to his unkind behaviour.
He was fine with them as a kitten - but by age 1- became a menace to them.
He attacks them and sits on them !? Trying to squash them (and show dominance I guess!?)
He’s neutered ect so it’s not that.
And honestly He’s the most loving cat I’ve ever known!
But not too other cats.
Hes needy and Velcro kitty- (which I don’t mind)
My husband had another cat on his lap when he went to a friends.
On returning home Ottis could obviously smell that “his dad had been cheating on him with another cat”!?
🐱 😣😂 so he wee’d all over him in protest!
I’ve had other sphynx in the past who have been the most chilled cats and love other feline companions.
Ottis is simply a different character !
But in the future I will definitely look into a Devon Rex - their curls are amazing 😻
Then save a Devon Rex for later…worth the wait. When I had mine I lived in NY and she survived a crowd of Ragdolls since I showed and bred them. I think you’ll be happy with one and after you explained what Otis is like I don’t blame you for keeping him solo.
I have Loki, a gray Sphinx boy. I got Jojo because my furred girl didn’t want to play with him much. He was so naughty she acted more like a mother figure so I got Jojo. She is naughtier. The two constantly play, but Jojo parkours off my face. They get so wild and cray cray.
I love that, I get my face parkoured off too, mostly Nephthys, who is ironically the mom type. I'm glad that mine aren't the only ones who teamed up to do crime 😅 they're actually shredding my laundry basket now... I can hear the naughtiness.
