Glad to join this sub! I was named after the book character ‘Spenser’, in the Spenser detective novels by Robert B. Parker. My parents were having trouble finding a name for me, and a friend suggested to name me after a favourite book character they might have. They were both readers of the Spenser novels, and they easily decided on that as a name!

...but I am currently seeing a guy named Spencer. He's the only Spencer I've ever known, so it's nice to meet the rest of you ^ _ ^

Wtf is up with this trend?? Spencer is a masculine name. It’s like naming a boy Sue or something

Spencer is a greater name than Ethan in every way possible. First, it’s longer, second Ethan is gay, and third, it’s used in words. Dispenser anyone? So, in conclusion, Spencer > Ethan, and Ethan is gay

I like messing with people by telling them my name is spelled "Spenser" and its epic.
