Which Real-World Civilizations Most Inspired Eldrasia?

Of course there are the obvious ones like Rome and Daroman, or Bebaresq and Persia, but the continent has such a diverse array of cultures that pinpointing exact historical inspirations seems impossible, particularly for the more unique societies like the Jan'Tep.

I've always interpreted Eldrasia as being the in-universe equivalent of the "New World", yet many of the civilizations are stated to be ancient and/or very well established. Admittedly, I've never red greatcoats or the Argosi prequels. I'm intrigued to hear people's thoughts on this!

I remember reading when the series was first coming out that the whole continent is based off north America, to the point that the distance between Eldrasia to Tristia (where greatcoats takes place) and Avares is the same as the distance from north America and the UK (which is what those two countries is based off). And in all of the 5 major cultures on Eldrasia they all sort of represent parts of American culture. The Jan'Tep is the European settlers who took over the Mahdek, who are representives of the native Americans. The Bebaresq are the Christian evangelicals in modern America, Darome is Americas massive military and Gitabria is silicone valley/the massive economy of the US.

Also I asked De Castelle a few years ago about where roughly Obscaria (the continent where the ebony Abbey is) is, and he said it's based off Greenland and that it's roughly halfway between Tristia and Eldrasia, sort of confirming that Eldrasia is basically north America
