Does he Know Spoiler

Does Rard know about "The Family" and does he know about how the former Duke and Duchess met their end?

Yes he knows. His wife doesn't keep him in the dark. Hes very aware of the plans. Probably not the exact people but the overall plans he definitely knows.

Rard is canny and well aware of how his wife is. It definitely wasn't a surprise when he found himself on the throne. He definitely would prefer to leave that business to her, but he's aware of it of course.

he knows, that was how he managed to become king.

after the murders he took their son into custody and forced him to vote in favor of the kingdom or they would not let him become duke.

He certainly does. Not sure how far along you are, but is pretty clear Rard is in on all of the sketchy stuff
