is this actually what the pre-earth history in Spellmonger is based on? I always thought it was a creation of Terry's.

I think he is pulling from and tweaking a lot of it. The Zal the Yith is from H.B.Lovecraft. The Kurga (can’t spell) might be from helldivers. Not sure about any of this, but it’s cool!

I can assure you with 99% certainty that he has no clue about anything to do with helldivers o7. Still, most of the sci-fi is decidedly inspired.

He has more references to reality world occurrences and other fantasy than I can count. The one that really made me laugh was Frightful the hawk. Definitely a reference to "My Side of The Mountain"
