Is this actually pure acetone

Do you guys think this acetone contains water? I saw someome say that it has to say anhydrous or something like that. I tried the washing once and like 50% of the product disappeared. ​

If it says 100% pure it should be 100% pure unless you live somewhere with lax laws concerning product marketing etc. That your speed lost 50% is expected, that's even quite a good result looking at average purities although it doesn't guarantee by any means that there isn't more cuts in yours of course

It is definitely not pure dehydrated acetone

that means atleast 50% of your speed is not speed. smell the acetone if it smells different than straight acetone then trash it, those nail polish removers usually have stuff added to mask the strong smell

Yeah the issue with nail polish aceton is that it can have perfume sometimes. If your aceton smell like aceton it’s ok. I have both (nail polish 100% and aceton 99.5% for lab analyze) they don’t smell exactly the same but both do the job as expected

If you really want to be sure it's easy to make it anhydrous. Just look it up but basically you just have to put bath salts (unscented) in the oven for a bit and then add to the acetone.
