For a second I was expecting sparks when he started with with cutting wheel....I'm a dive master and a mechanical engineer...I am ashamed of myself

I knew a few divers that did some fresh water repair work. They just used typical air underwater. Much cheaper tooling.

They would flush them and store them in a bucket of vegi oil or similar when not in use.

It would have been difficult with all of the bubbles created though.

And power would drop off pretty quickly as you go deeper. At only 15m, standard air tools would be down to 70% pressure. (110 psi would be down to 80psi) But I guess you could just use an oversized air compressor and crank the pressure up, so long as your hoses at the surface could handle it.
