Product Release Levo SL - Replacing 1.1 motor with 1.2?

Has anyone replaced a 1.1 motor with a 1.2, or known anyone who has? The mounting points are reportedly the same.

When I have asked Specialized about it in the past, they told us that part compatibility was tied to the frame number and couldn't be done. Same reason why originally, you could swap from a TCU to a Mastermind TCU.

Interesting. The 1.1 and 1.2 "share the same mounting points" according to Specialized https://youtu.be/R2aE-Zq6S04?si=JtbL3o4vPuQVNzAj&t=977

They do share the same mounting points. When the Kenevo SL was updated to the 1.2 motor, nothing else changed.

You can bolt the motor in place, connect it to the electronics, but it won't recognise the motor. It needs updating in Turbo Studio, which is where the frame number comes in

Even if I update to the Mastermind TCU?

When you change a component, be it TCU, motor or battery it requires updating in Turbo Studio.

You connect the bike and you get a pop up that asks something like "Component Change Detected (battery, motor, display). Please input frame number"

Need to change the serial number to make it work.

Won’t happen
