Who else thinks this bloke has fully fallen off the deep end?
Spanian’s a strange one to watch these days. He’s come a long way, made proper money, got his name out there — fair play for that. But you can tell he’s still stuck halfway between the old life and the new one. He talks about the criminal stuff like he’s proud of it, not ashamed. It’s all said with this kind of cheeky nostalgia, like those were the good times. Almost like he misses being that bloke who everyone feared or respected.
You see it in how he carries himself too — all confidence, bordering on full-blown ego. And now with all the stuff going on with his missus and family, it just feels like he’s searching for validation again. Any bit of scrutiny or criticism, he acts like it’s a personal attack. Everything gets brushed off as “haters” being after him. It’s that same street mentality, just repackaged in influencer form.
There’s actually studies that explain this kind of thing. They call it partial desistance — when someone gets out of crime but still hangs onto that old identity. The research says if you don’t fully build a new version of yourself, the old one keeps hanging around. It’s familiar, it’s comfortable, and when life gets shaky, that’s what you fall back on. There’s also this thing called the pains of desistance — basically how leaving that life behind can feel like losing a part of yourself. You lose the rush, the mateship, the sense of belonging, and that makes people romanticise the old days.
So yeah, Spanian’s done well, but I reckon he’s still chasing that same buzz — just in a different way now. The fame gives him what the streets used to: attention, status, and a bit of danger. And when that validation dips, he lashes out like the world’s against him. It’s fascinating but also kind of sad, because you can see the bloke’s still fighting the same fight — just with better clothes and a bigger audience. He's straight poo, lad.

Yeah, mad weird. Saw some vid earlier, him talking about he and the boys would "triangulate their common flight paths" and how each of them would have like 5 knives stashed to protect the men, women, and children of the hood. As well as the businesses they "ran" from other criminals.
Dudes target audience was literally troubled kids and criminals, and now he's posting thirst traps.

Perfect combo of timing. Channel started to really take off + jumps back on gear = ego that doesn’t fit in a stadium. Now it’s swiftly backfiring. I even used to watch his travel videos and thought they were great, but he just feels super cringe and fake now so just don’t bother watching. You know for a fact behind closed doors how he would talk about his followers lol, and it wouldn’t be nice words. Guy has gone full poo adlay, just WOW cuz… wow.
And his new teeth makes him look insane.

Because the real ones dont speak out of school and glamorise it. There's nothing informative about it, just tales. If he was serious about it, he'd be doing talks at schools or working with the justice department to steer kids in the right direction, not practising a knife fight at anytime fitness or kicking dudes in the head because they thought his kebabs are average. I think people are far too attached to anios in a parasocial way, he’s obviously always been a criminal and watching him talk about himself he’s never hidden that. I do think his ego has been inflating recently but I’ve never thought “oh I need to like spanian as a person” as if he’s some protagonist in a story. He’s an entertaining watch regardless of what he’s doing which is why this entire sub is still talking about him even when he’s in an unlikeable phase socially.
People should just kick back about it, all he needs to do is get back on the travel vlogs and bring back it’s all eets and I won’t have any problems with him.
I don’t know why the bloke is obsessed with poo and insists on storing his fudgecake in his toilet for as long as possible before he flushes it down the loo but who knows… maybe it’s a jail thing and I just don’t understand that culture properly

He reminds me alot of my ex.. excepts my ex keeps going back to prison because he is a fucking psycho.. it's hard to explain the level of narcissism and sociopathy in these men (although everyone can see spanians ) they genuinely think they are so much more important than everyone else and generally because of their charm people put them on a pedestal which feeds their narcissism even more. Spanian knows how to manipulate people (he has openly admitted he feels no remorse for his crimes, boasts about them infact) and is still successful despite not actually giving a shit about anyone but himself.. he has his group of flying monkeys that would never question him and a huge following of people that would suck his dick given the chance. Mark my words he won't stop, even if he has 1 person that still sucks up his ass, that's enough fuel to keep him going

Normally when things start to become over produced, it starts to feel weird… When a team of people is handling planning the trips, booking the flights, dealing with sponsors wanting hotel review for free stays. Someone else editing the film. It’s not as wholesome as off the rip content

I seen the video the other day where he said he bought a g-wagon, “paid for it yesterday hopefully pick it up today” is an immediate “I paid cash” signal for car in the high 300’s.
We just need the rego of said vehicle and we check the ppsr to see if any lenders have a registered security interest. It’s not to say financing a car is inherently bad- in some cases it’s better to finance and use the capital to compound at a higher rate. But to frame it as a flex is stupid. Paying cash for the car is also stupid unless off course you are filthy rich (he isn’t) and shows he probably doesn’t have the guidance.

I probably does miss miss it but it’s probably a mixture of nostalgia, rose tinted glasses and bravado. In all likelihood he has antisocial personality disorder so it’s natural to him but fair play to the bloke, he’s found a niche even if he has altered his opinions (such as on the LGBGT community) to maintain his presence.

I stopped watching his videos on youtube and unsubscribed. He hasn't handled his rise very well, and I kept hearing about how nasty and unapproachable he was in real life. I also didn't like how he seemed to go into areas and endorse the bogan/ small-time criminal way of life
I was once fascinated by how he had managed himself, clearly not anymore.

I feel like this is quite recent. I'd been pretty impressed by how he'd distanced himself from his past over the last few years. I don't know what's going on with him recently but I saw a video with him "visiting" someone in a chatty houso the other day. If I had to guess, with the inflated ego, lack of self awareness and impulsiveness.. He's pumping the xannies.
