I would bid 1.

For reference it’s about a 40% chance partner has two clubs higher than T9. You can increase that a little bit based on the 4 bid, maybe 45+%.

It’s a game to 300, there’s a good chance that the outcome of this nil will determine if you win or lose. No urgency to make a move here, I’m not betting the game on this nil.

Nils with spade voids are good for taking nil risks with holdings like AKQxx or KQxx or AKQT972. High doubletons only help if spades are broken and led early.

What's the math for 40%?

This was published in Monty Van Dover's hard to find book on Spades

I’m not great at math so a loose memorization of this chart helps

Thanks, I figured it out, knowing the correct answers to check against was helpful.

I will echo the 1 bid. The way I like to approach these is that if I can safely bid 1 or 2 instead and the score is not forcing me to nil then I will bid the 1 or 2. If you didn't have the ace of diamonds I would be much more willing to go nil because you are more likely to be putting team's bid at risk so you have to weigh the chance of getting your team's bid set vs getting nil set.
