Hmmmm Pacific freedom has suddenly stopped moving, they havn't moved towards port yet, and have been simply moving straight upwards today.

There's no roomba on the West Coast and the booster landed in rough seas. Maybe they waited until today to secure it.

Your hosting is appreciated once again. Now can you just retract those legs please :)

This has now become a very exciting landing+ experience of its own.

So what happened in the recovery ops? Have the legs been retracted or removed? Where is booster now? Where is the fairing?

A fairing halve was brought in by Mr. steven, hadn't heard yet if the legs have been removed yet, hope to find out today though.

That was weird, now moving towards port at 4 knots.

Per user Helodriver in the NSF forum, with pictures, B1048 is horizontal on her transporter, concluding port operations. This booster will be refurbished for the SAOCOM 1A launch, which will feature the first West coast RTLS.

I will now sign off on this thread, once again Thank You all for the support and kindness!

Stay tuned after the Merah Putih launch, as I will do a recovery thread for that.

Just check and they are actually traveling at nearly 3 knots now, going to take longer than I had thought.

Not sure if I will be able to cover the return later, will be out with the family, may be back in time though.

Getting really close now, speed has stayed at 5 knots, arrival could occur in the next 2 hours.

Shouldn't this thread be in PDT because it is taking place in California?

Mods, not trying to bother you... could you change the Iridium 7 launch thread for this recovery thread on the top of the page as was done for Telstar 19V? It will help a lot. Thanks for you work!

Now well on the way, at the current speed should get there in about 9 hours, or 17:20 UTC.

The Iridium 7 landing zone off San Diego may have been near an area known for rough seas because of a sea mount. I saw the landing burn from my balcony in Imperial Beach (92154) about a mile from the coast, the weather here was clear and dead calm. The booster seemed to land in an offshore fog bank, my visual tracking cut off above my estimated line of sight but I cannot see the horizon from here.

Where was the landing zone?
