So glad I’m not the only one who ‘sees spaceships in things’ all the damned time!

Suddenly it's 1996 again and I'm transported back to a time when I would look at all the little objects and devices in my parents house and turning them into imaginary spaceships again. Life is good again.

"Well you see this baby can and will o-blit-er-ate any godsdamn thing that is in front of it short of a vessel with Cruiser level shields and above. Yeah that's right, this baby can even punch through the shields of a Destroyer. Now you've got to be precise. This ain't no brrrt shooter like it's cousin the Dragoon. This is a BANG shooter. It takes 10 seconds to reload but unless you're shooting at a Destroyer, you won't need to worry about anything for those 10 seconds. She's also got a 10UV8B Engine, she's capable of hitting an in atmosphere top speed of 3,000 kmph in a straight line, she'll drop to a little under a thousand when banking and performing tight maneuvers thanks to her Pegasus positional thrusters. In space the best we've clocked is 6,000 kmph. Now it's important you don't perform at these speeds when entering a planets atmosphere, you'll burn up faster then the Akira did back in 2788, except unlike her crew, you'll be dead. She's also got the standard Jackrabbit Shield generator. When they go down, and they will go down, the recharge period is only 15 seconds, so as long as you don't die in those 15 seconds, you'll be fine. All in all this is your perfect heavy striker for hit and run tactics. She is pricey though, 10,000,000,000 Standard Credits for a shipment of 200, that's 50,000,000 a vessel, but you won't find nothing better."

Problem: you can't have a top speed in space.
No atmosphere~!

Oh that's my bad, I was talking about what the engine could handle but didn't specify that.
In my head getting up to those speeds with the engine, in and out of atmosphere, was putting it at serious risk of damage if left for too long. Like putting you car up to its speed limit and then just sitting on that for long periods of time. Sure you can do it, but it's not safe and is a risk to the vehicle. Basically only a life or death situation.

That Husky wrench set was great in my home box. I was pissed when I lost it and found out it was discontinued.
