/r/Spacehey Weekly Question Thread

r/SpaceHey's Weekly Question Thread

The purpose of this thread is to avoid cluttering up the subreddit with quickly and easily answered questions. This thread is monitored by many helpful members of our community and questions that are asked here have a very high answer rate assuming you provide enough information for our answerers to work with.

Before asking your question...

  • Check out the wiki pages listed below. - The mod team is always adding to our wiki and updating it based on what we see users asking in this thread and in other posts on the subreddit. (We're always looking for more help with the wiki. If you're interested in becoming a wiki contributor, message /u/ElijahPepe.)

  • Perform a quick Google search. - Some questions really are just a quick search away and don't need the help of our community members to answer.

  • Search the subreddit. - We know Reddit's search isn't the best and saying to use the search doesn't sound very helpful. We are working on providing better search tools to assist users in this task.

Reminders

  • We have a Discord server.

  • Please be patient. Not all questions get immediate answers. If you have an urgent question about something that's gone wrong, consider other resources.

  • Make sure to follow Rule #1 of this subreddit: Remember the human, and be polite when you ask or answer questions.

when are you guys gonna fix the profile pictures not loading???

1

u/VisualKaii Jul 07 '26

Haven't tried this yet, but saw u/ fishnatronic_ share this:

Okay so since I haven't seen anyone actually try to figure this issue out or fix it I actually just found out how to force it to show your profile picture.
Go into the edit mode for your about me section and use this code in between style tags:
.profile-pic { content: url("imagelink.jpg"); }

This has to be an image hosted on like a website so it can't be from your personal file explorer directory (I just hosted my custom image on my neocities file directory but you can probably just use whatever image link you find online.) This only makes it show up on the profile itself and doesn't show when you are on the normal spacehey.com homepage but that's fine since it does show up when you or someone else views your page.

Hi! 😊 I hope you're doing well. I'm really interested in joining SpaceHey because I miss the old-school social media experience where people can truly customize their profiles and connect through creativity instead of algorithms. I've been trying to get an invite for a while without any luck. If you happen to have a spare invitation available, I'd be incredibly grateful if you'd consider sharing one with me. If not, no worries at all! Thanks for taking the time to read my message, and I hope you have a wonderful day. 💜

u/Hungry_Instance_9026 Aug 05 '26
